Natasha POV:
What just happened?
I had gotten another agent to send a message to Fury, as I was sitting upright, thinking back to the last few moments.
I had lunged at Percy, he sidestepped, and then he had a sword. It seemed to have appeared from thin air. He used it to disarm me, then after I pulled out my hidden knives, he spun behind me and kicked me to the ground. I couldn't feel the sword against my neck, but I felt... Something. Just a whisper of touch. Footsteps had crunched behind us, and even as the click of safety being released resounded through the air, the nameless person kept moving towards Percy and I.
I had no idea what happened next, other than he suddenly jumped off me, and was gone. Leaving my agents with a bewildered and slightly fearful expression.
And whatever could scare S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, certainly scared me.Paul POV:
Okay, it had been confusing, worrisome, and slightly frightening to be put in a holding cell by some super secret government branch who thought my son was a terrorist and is looking to me for information.
For the first hours at least.
Sitting in a chair, with nothing but thoughts for hours, gets old very quickly. Out of pure boredom, I had started speculating all the ways Nico could find Percy, and only hope that he was successful in his task.
As if on cue, the door swung open to reveal the dark guy with the eye patch, once again. This time however, he all but screamed 'I'm gonna kill you if you don't give me answers.'
He didn't even bother to sit down, but leaned right over the table.
"Tell me who, and what, Perseus Jackson is. Now." There was an unspoken threat in the air.
I tilted my head up to look him in the eye,
"Even I couldn't really tell you. I never understood,"
Apparently that wasn't the answer he was looking for.
"I will ask you again. What. Is. Perseus. Jackson?"
I sighed, "Look, if I tell you I will probably be sent to hell. Literally."
"We can offer protection,"
"Not against who I'd be angering,"
"And who would that be,"
I sighed again, "You're digging into something a lot bigger than our mortal minds can understand,"
"If it's something Asgardian, we can bring in Thor. Or protect you from him,"
"Thor wouldn't stand a chance against them,"
The man who's name I still did not know looked extremely sceptical,
"Odin?"
"Maybe, but I doubt you'll get Odin to come here just for a silly little suspicion you have,"
"So it's something equal to a god?"
I sat there a moment, realising my mistake, but before I could say anything else, the eyepatch man had walked out the door.Fury POV:
It wasn't a direct answer, but it's all I needed.
I sent a message to Romanov, who I had ordered to remain stationary, and told her to scan for traces of godly power.
Whoever that other person who helped Perseus and talked to Mr.Blofis was, he certainly was no ordinary man- with all this teleporting- and that made me wonder. If he was protecting Perseus... What did that make our target.
