Natasha POV:
I leaned against the wall in Fury's office, waiting. I'd headed up to ask more on the incident in Manhattan, but he'd been on his way out, and barely spared the breath to tell me to wait. To pass the time, I'd begun analysing my memories of my conversation with Percy. I'd been looking during the conversation, and now, after the fact, but I still couldn't think of any possible reason as to why he told me all that. The only conclusion I'd come up with is he was lying, but he didn't seem to be. Lie detecting was something I'd learnt right away, and no one could slip one through, but he had shown no signs of deceit.
My attention snapped to Fury's desk as I heard a soft thud. It was barely detectable, and since I'd been in here since Fury left, I brushed it off. I sighed and went over to one of the chairs. Only to shoot up again as I heard another shuffle. There certainly couldn't be a person in here, did we have a rodent problem? I was distracted by the door opening, and Clint walking in.
"Nat? What're you doing here?" He seemed surprised.
"Waiting for Fury, what else?"
"Fair point, when'll he be here?"
"No idea."
He closed the door and began walking over, then paused a moment, and ever to subtly motioned me over. "Nat, something's wrong. I feel like we're being watched. Is anyone else in here?"
I shook my head, " No, I've been in here since Fury left. I saw him on the way out."
"That doesn't mean there isn't someone else. We've been dealing with gods Natasha."
I silently cursed myself for being so absentminded, then tried to walk as casually as I could over to the desk, motioning for Clint to go around the other side. As I came around the corner of the desk, a flash of light blinded me, I was shoved to the ground, with a piece of oddly warm metal, probably a knife of some kind, placed on my neck.
I heard a muffled grunt from Clint, and another thud. Once my vision returned, I was staring up at a man with stunningly bright features, and as I thought, he had a knife to my neck. I turned my head and sure enough Clint was pinned down paralell to me by another man with black hair.
A third, smaller person climbed out from under the desk, and kneeled down in front of us. I recognized him. I'd only gotten a glimpse before, but I'd seen him before, on the highway. He'd been there. Clint seemed to recognize him too, as he let out a strangled gasp.
I opened my mouth to speak, but he beat me to it. "Where's Percy Jackson?"
That clicked the final piece of the puzzle into place. If they were looking for Percy, these were the other gods he mentioned. Apollo tackled me, and either Hermes or Nico is holding down Clint . I glanced at Clint, who only shrugged. "Hold on, let's start with introductions, since I think he's being left out," I said with a nod at Clint, who stared, confused. I turned my head again to look up at Apollo. "Apollo right? Greek god of the sun, music, etcetera?" When he nodded I turned to the black haired men. "And one of you is Hermes, the other being Nico."
The one standing in front of us spoke, "I'm Nico, you're Natasha Romanov and Clint Barton, we know. Now where's Percy?"
Percy POV:
At this point, I've given up hope for some food other than some protein bars Natasha left. I'm still starving, and pacing. I'd gotten up from the cot a while ago, and was now debating over whether or not to ask to see Paul. I don't even know where he is. Honestly, I was more worried that they let him out, since they got me. There are still monsters looking for me, and by extension, him. I was yanked from my thoughts when I bumped into something.
"Percy, come on."
