Tony Stark POV:
Man, was Natasha absolutely everywhere with this mission or what? First she tells us that we're supposed to grab Percy from his house, then from his school, and now we have to postpone it until we can get some information from his step-dad?
I groaned into the intercom,
"Alright, just let me know when we are supposed to kidnap this kid from the president's office," I said sarcastically.
"Deal with it Tony, this kid is slippery," Natasha replied, then shut off communication.
I rolled my eyes at nothing, and my curiosity got the best of me. I couldn't help it, this kid was intriguing and I wanted to know more.
"Hey JARVIS?"
"Yes sir?"
"Figure out who Perseus Jackson is,"
"Right away sir,"
I sat down on a chair in my workshop, and took a sip of coffee, watching the lights flash as JARVIS searched through every source available to get information on this kid. I watched still as it all came to a stop, and JARVIS's voice echoed around the room,
"All done sir, everything available on Perseus Jackson,"
"Thanks J,"
I studied the various articles and videos and documents, before selecting a video recorded after Percy was released from his kidnapper, and pressing play.
There were a couple sentences from a reporter, and then,
"All I want... is to see my loving stepfather again. Every time I saw him on TV, calling me a delinquent punk, I knew... somehow... we would be okay. And I know he'll want to reward each and every person in this beautiful city of Los Angeles with a free major appliance from his store. Here's the phone number."
It was then when I decided that I liked this kid. If it's decided that he's not a terrorist or whatever, I'm definitely going to talk to him.
"Hey Tony," Bruce's voice invaded my thoughts, alerting me to his presence.
"How long have you been here?" I asked, slightly amused.
"Long enough to see you pull up everything the web has on this kid,"
"Yeah well, it's not like we're actually going to be sent out to detain him anytime soon right?"Bruce Banner POV:
I scoffed and sat down at the table with my latest works scattered around. This Percy actually worried me a little, it's not often Fury is so calculating with a target, he prefers force. So if he's doubting us, The Avengers, on our ability to secure a seventeen year old kid, he's gotta be something. But from what I can tell, he's not. I've done research just like Tony, but a littler deeper than an internet scan using an AI, no matter how advanced.
A gasp from Tony shattered my thought. I sat and contemplated a minute, before my curiosity got the best of me. I stood and stepped up to the tsunami of documents Tony was looking at.
"What?" I asked.
"Read this," He pointed to a specific paragraph, and I read.
I shared his shock, it stated that Percy had managed to avoid or knock out all of the police that had previously tried to stop the kid, and considering his record, I'd assume they only sent more each time.
I walked out and made my way into the elevator of the Avengers tower. I needed answers from Fury.
