We ended up having to stay the night at the hospital, and they ended up having to draw more blood before we left, which was an absolute disaster.
I called my mom and she had insisted on coming here to France, but I had talked her out of it, even though I really wanted her to come, I knew it was best for her not to. She din't need to waste money on a plane ticket and by the time she got down here we'd be out of the hospital, so she stayed home with the agreement that I'd call her every four hours I wasn't sleeping, even though we were on a twelve hour time difference.
The day we got out of the hospital was hectic when we left, but after that nothing too notable happened.
When we'd left the hospital,There was a mob of reporters- we were apparently a top news story.
It scared poor Lily terribly, but once we got into the car with the help of security everything was okay and she'd calmed down after a minute.
However, arriving at the hotel was a different story.
Half of the reporters followed me there, and we had no security there.
Louise met me outside to carry Kinley, and I'd even texted Nathan, who faithfully showed up and pushed the reporters away from us.
He'd walked us to our room, and we talked on the balcony facing the private gardens for a while before he said he had to go.
Lily, Kinley and I curled up on the bed for the rest of the day and ordered all kinds of food off of the room service menu, but Lily didn't eat much of it when it came.
She'd be excited when she ordered, but sobbing by the time it came because of the overwhelming guilt it made her feel to eat, the guilt that her father had instilled in her. The type of thing that made me sick.
Kinley tried a few of the foods, like ice cream, which she ended up loving, but we couldn't feed her too many of them due to her gastrointestinal issues and underdeveloped stomach.
Lily didn't want to do anything but watch TV, so that's exactly what we did. She let me paint her nails and toenails, and she admitted that she thought that was 'kind of' fun.
I ended up enjoying staying in on our first real day with Kinley, it gave me the opportunity to get to know her. It was just...fun.
However, we are in France, so there was no way I was spending another day all cooped up inside.
It's been two days now since it all happened, so since we ended up staying in yesterday, Nathan and I agreed that tonight we would go the the Eiffel Tower.
I have to admit, I'm pretty excited, and not just because we're going to the Eiffel Tower, but because, well, because I get to see Nathan.
Thankfully, the time should go by quickly since we have so many fun things planned for today.
I'm so in love with this little girl, both these little girls. I feel so completely blessed that I've been chosen to be their mother, and even though I've barely had any time to get to know them, I can't imagine my life without them.
"Here ' go Lils, put this on." I say as I hand her coral/peach colored sweater that flares out at the bottom, along with jeans.
The outfit also comes with a sweet little white coat, and a precious knit beret and gloves the same as the hat.
Once again, I'd bought Kinley a matching one to wear for the day.
I dressed Kinley and offered to help Lily, who politely declined, as always. She's reversed in some of the progress we'd made, but it's nothing too major, which I'm beyond grateful for, since she could have completely reverted back to the way she was when we first met.
