I was suppose to update last Thursday... Oops.
Anyways this song is her walkout song.
Gerald POVI watched you get your hands wrapped. The first of many fights to come. I was nervous just looking at you and hearing the crowd in the arena. Kamden didn't understand everything going on around him, but he could sense the excitement. He was surrounded by the essence of both his parents. You took a deep breath and adjusted the wrappings around your hands before they marked them with x's to make sure you weren't changing them around or switching them. Then came Dana walking in, catching your attention.
"Holy Moly..." He whispered seeing Kamden as he crouched down. "He looks a lot like you both Ashley."
"Kamden... I want you to meet Dana..." You ushered him over to Dana and Kamden grinned.
"Do you know... My daddy?"
"I sure do." He chuckled and Kamden gasped with excitement as he offered his hand to shake.
"It's nice to meet you then Mr.Dana" Dana shook the boys hand and then Kamden grinned looking up to you for a moment.
" He knows Daddy! Did you hear him mommy!" Kamden looked to Dana once more before pointing to me. "That's my other daddy... He's watching me because mommy says my daddy went to heaven." Dana glanced to me and stood, offering his hand which I shook.
"Good to see you again Gerald. Alright buddy I gotta go, you be good alright?" Dana looked to Kamden who nodded quickly.
" Yes sir." You looked like a proud parent in that moment. Kamden was always a good boy, rarely throwing any sort of tantrum. He ran over to me and sat down beside me.
"Hey buddy." I mumbled as he placed his head against me. We sat there and watched you get your gloves on and start warming up.
"Gerald... Why did my real daddy go to heaven?" He asked me this tons of times. I couldn't decide if he forgot or he wanted to see if my answer was always the same. Kids are sneaky like that...
"Kam he went to heaven early because heaven takes the best too soon."
" They won't take you and mommy right? Because you two the best." I chuckled softly and pulled him onto my lap.
" No they won't... Your daddy was far better than anyone else." I looked to you, your sheer level of focus amazed me. You cracked a smile and walked over to us, pressing a kiss to his forehead before kissing my cheek.
"Kam you be good for nana alright... Gerald and I have to go out now."
" Okay mommy." He grinned and hopped off my lap running to Suzanne. You chuckled and motioned for me to come along.
"You'll have to go find your seat. My fight is coming up."
" Are you nervous?" You shook your head nearly grinning before shadow boxing.
"I'm so ready... My heart is racing." You started jogging out of the room. Your team surrounding you. I headed for my seat, getting to it as soon as the music started. This was Dominick's walk out song, and it fit you well. That focused look overtook your features. You looked like this was war. Courtney Himes was your opponent, she looked as focused as you. Funny how just yesterday you two walked side by side and chatted. This was a job to you.
Before I knew it the referee started the round and you two were off. You were tactical, careful not to be in her reach with each step. Then just like that, you'd caught her and dragged her to the ground. The crowd going crazy. Your jujitsu had surpassed hers without a doubt. She'd made the mistake of giving you her back and it was lights out from their. You won by a rear naked choke and the crowd went wild. The referee broke you off of her and you ran around the octagon flashing a proud grin towards me as I clapped with everyone else. The ref took your wrist and the official announcement was made before Joe Rogan came over to you.
"We're here With Ashley Davis! Ashley that was a great and quick fight after such a long time out. Give me your thoughts!"
"I came in here with a game plan of using her weak ground game and it played in my favour. I've been dying to fight and here I am. I promised you I would be back didn't I Joe?"
"That you did Ashley. Who do you wanna thank?"
"Gosh I don't know where to begin. I wanna thank my son, Gerald Gillum, my friends that are like my family. Thank you Dominick for watching over me. I love you baby, I'm going after this belt for you." You kissed your finger tips and put them over your heart before bowing.
" Ashley Davis everybody!" You waved as you walked out of the octagon. Motioning to me I joined you and your team to head back stage. Kamden was grinning at you even with the sweat coating your body.
"Mommy win?!"
" Yes sweetie!"
"Yay mommy!" You laughed softly as they quickly unwrapped your hands and someone worked on the cornrows of your hair so you could shower.
"You did great Ash..."
"Thanks Ger..." You smiled once one of your hands was free. It brushed against my cheek and you stood on your tippy toes. Your plump lips brushed against mine before you leaned against me. I couldn't help but smile before making a face.
"You're so sweaty."
"You like it..."
" This is true... It's sexy." I winked as you laughed, your hand finding mine once the other one was unwrapped.
" Gerald..."
" Yeah?"
"There is something I wanna tell you..." You glanced to everyone else, making sure they were deep in conversation. I nodded slowly and you took a moment. "Gerald... I love you and...thank you so much for... Sticking by my side like this... I couldn't have done this without your support..."
"I love you too baby girl..." You loved me again... It was like the bay days again when you kissed me.
