Gerald POV

It's that look of disappointment on your face that haunts me. It numbs me to my core ever since then and truth be told I've only got myself to blame. I lit a cigarette before setting on the sofa the very next day. Your people came and went, none of them speaking a word to me as they emptied the house of your things.

"Where did she go?" I mumbled to Grady who shrugged between a sip of coffee.

"Like you actually care G. She's long gone." I cursed under my breath before pacing the room. Maybe this was how it was suppose to be in the beginning. I sure as hell was no Prince charming. Yet just like that we drifted apart and went our separate ways in this world. Kamden was in the news here in there merely because he was always by your side. Your wedding ring now snug around your finger once more instead of around your neck. It felt like this life was moments of happiness and everything else was on fast forward. As if my surroundings were dreams.

It was months later I saw you on tv. Your tan skin in contrast to the bright white UFC outfit hugging your frame.

"Whose that G?" I glanced to Natalie, yes my new girlfriend. It never took me long to bounce back of course.

"Someone I use to know... Use to love." I took a hit of the blunt before passing it to Marty. I almost laughed hearing Dominick's old walk out song playing, dominator. Five round fight for the championship belt from the very woman who had taken everything away from you. Then again it was with the help of my song. Just like last time she'd played it, yet I think this time it only fueled your fire. It was you who toyed with her this time, her fist landing against her face inbetween her blocks. It was round three that it came to an end. You'd knocked her out, her body limp against the canvas as you nearly jumped for joy. My head throbbed as I stood up, clapping with everyone else in the room.

"Yeee bay for the win!"

"Ata girl!" I stumbled slightly looking to Natalie, my vision blurring.

"Gerald? Gerald?!" I looked to the tv once more. Right after they'd put the belt around your waist you dropped and so did I. My brain shutting off like a timer. I remember the sound of the beeping next, the smell of alcohol from sterilization.

I opened my eyes and glanced around only to see Suz fast asleep and Devon, looking like she did years ago.

"Ger?"

" What are you doing here?" I mumbled and looked around. " What happened to Ashley?"

" She was in a car accident, you don't remember? It was on the news and you freaked out, started pacing and passed out." I leaned over and grabbed my phone, my brain was running on sheer worry as I looked at the date. It was the week after your car accident with Dominick.

"Wha-what? Where is Kamden?"

"Whose Kamden?" She looked at me completely confused before looking to the door for a moment. "Gerald you're scaring me you need me to call the nurse?" I shook my head before taking a deep breath.

"I-I must have been dreaming. Kamden was Ashley's son in my dream and Dominick was dead." She shrugged and took my hand for a moment.

"You've been out for a week... Doctors didn't know why. Ashley is a few rooms down. They had to do an emergency c section for the baby. She's not awake yet, she's on life support Ger. Dominick's a mess."

"I need to see her. Please Dev?" She sighed softly and started unplugging the monitors before putting a finger over her mouth.

"Just be quiet I don't want your mom getting upset I helped you." I snickered before rolling my eyes. This hospital gown wasn't going to fly. Thankfully Dev had a change of clothes for me. Sweats and a t-shirt which was better than the hospital gown. I slowly walked down the hall, holding her hand. Had I just dreamed years of a life that never existed? The walk was short yet I stopped by the door and saw Dominick with his head hung low as he looked at the baby in his arms before glancing up.

"Hey, come in..."

" How is she?" I croaked looking at him, his face cut up and bruised, arm in a caste.

"They don't know."

"You tried to protect her... That's why your arms shattered." I mumbled as I sat down at your bedside.

"How'd you know?"

"Lucky guess. How's Kamden?" Dominick nearly froze before looking down at the baby in his arms.

"He's good. Ashley tell you we were gonna name Kamden?" I nodded slowly.

"Kamden Dominick Cruz."

" Dominick?" I nodded to his question before he chuckled slightly.

" She said the middle name was a surprise so I guess she'll tell me when she wakes up." He sighed and offered Kamden to me. Looking at him now I could see who he would be in years to come. Maybe this dream was all a part of the plan. A plan for me to realize that maybe just maybe we weren't ever going to have the right time in the way we thought. I swallowed the lump in my throat before hearing your heart monitor jolt. Dominick pressed the call button as you stirred more, the tube making you groan as it continued to pump air in and out of your lungs.

"Ash?" I mumbled when your eyes looked from Dominick to me with sheer confusion. The nurses quickly ushered us all out as they began removing tubing from your throat. Meanwhile I was just trying to comprehend if you had the same crazy dream that I had just experienced or maybe it was all just in my head.
