My (Brothers) Best Friend

Next Friday:

  I've been in my room sad and angry for a week schools been horrible I missed today cause I was just too tired...my mom checked up on me but I just shooed her away. I've been laying in my room all day doing nothing. I can't stop thinking about that night what he was doing and what he said. My phone buzzes from another text from Lila.

Lila: can we talk whats up with you??

Me: I'm not feeling so good

Lila: should I bring some soup or some ice cream or something?

Me: no it's fine that's nice I'm just gonna lay in bed the day

Lila: okay text me when you feel better.

I put my phone to the side and just lay there. My door opens and Nathan's there.

"What do you want?" I groan annoyed that he thinks he can walk in here and even talk to me.

"So I take it you and Mason aren't dating anymore?" He asked.

"Yup, and it's your fault jackass can you leave now?" I said.

"My fault how? You were dating my best friend...behind my back and lied to me" he snaps. "How would it be my fault?" He asked.

"You said somethings if you haven't realized...which I guess opened Mason's eyes and made him break up with me cause he's not good enough" I said sitting up.

"Well I was right and I'm glad he realized" he exclaims.

"You're an asshole you know that...I was really starting to like him and he was the only other person I could trust besides you and Lila but now no because he hurt me just like everyone else" I said. "So Nathan go fuck yourself and get out of my room" I snap back at him.

"Maddie-" he starts but I cut him off.

"Leave!" I say louder and he does. Okay back down. Life fucking sucks.

It's been pretty much most of this day and has sucked or been in my room all day it's now like 8 at night and I've been sitting here watching sad movies on Netflix and crying pretty much the whole night. The door bursts open to reveal Ryan and Lila. Lila on Ryan's back.

"What the hell?" I asked.

"Hello to you too" Lila said hopping off of his back.

"Hi" I mutter "what are you guys doing here?" I asked after.

"We came to bring our bestie a get well slushy" they say handing me a large slushy they have there own.

"Thanks" I laugh.

"Plus we also know you aren't sick "not feeling well" stands for I fucking hate Mason" Lila says.

"That obvious?" I asked they nod.

"Why weren't you here today what's up??" They asked sitting on the bed.

"He was flirting with another girl on Friday and I can't get over it" is all I tell them.

"Oh Mads, are you sure it was flirting?" Lila asked. "Did you hear?"

"No but she was like touching him" I reply simply.

"That doesn't mean that" Lila said.

"Lila don't try to give me hope" I mutter.

"Yeah you really shouldn't he's a dick" Ryan said. Lila looks at him like he's crazy.
