Maddie's POV

I wake up in pain. My body hurt and it feels like most of my bones are broken which some are but not all which is what if feels like.

I blink away the pain trying to fix myself. I kinda sit up in pain and turn and see a sleeping Mason draped across the chair. I smile knowing he's been sleeping here those nights I was in a coma. Then the door is pushed open aggressively. I look over and there's Nathan.

"Maddie" he said.

"Hey" I said with a weak grin.

"How are you, sorry I didn't come last night I didn't see his text" he says I shrug.

"It's okay" I said.

"You still mad at me?" He asked.

"I guess not" I said.

"Mason is" he adds in.

"I heard" I reply he sighs.

"He was right" he mutters. "I was being a complete ass but I don't want to tell him he's right" he said.

"He is right there and could possibly not be sleeping" I tell him he turns.

"He hasn't slept in forever he's probably sleeping..." he said. "So everything ok?" He asked.

"A little I guess, some parts hurt" I said.

"I'm really sorry I wasn't here" he says.

"It's ok" I said.

"Did mom come in?" He asked I nodded.

"Yeah last night" I said. He nods. I look at the time. 7:30. "Don't you need to get to school?" I asked.

"I should yeah, I'll see you later" he says and I nod and he left. I look around grab my bracelet from the side table and throw it at Mason.

"Wake up" I said he shoots up.

"What!" He asked.

"Nothing chill, but don't you need to get to school?" I asked.

"I-I'm not gonna go today" he says tiredly.

"Why?" I asked.

"A.) I'm tired 2.) you just got out of a coma obviously not" he says.

"Doesn't mean you shouldn't go" I state he shrugs.

"What did you throw at me and why?" He asked.

"My bracelet and to wake you up" I said.

"Thanks for that" he says rubbing his eyes to wake up more. "You play though?" He asked.

"Yeah, could be better but I'm fine" I muttered.

"Want me to call the doctors? For medicine or anything?" He asked I shook my head.

"I'm fine for now" I respond he nods. "Nathan came in" I tell him.

"I heard him say I was right" he smirks.

"Wow so you were awake?" I asked.
