Am I Crazy?

  I walk into the school exhausted and tired. I am yawning while I walk into the place. I see some people stare at me. What? What now? I go to my locker and put my things away. A frown placed on my lips it's like it's permanent now. Because everything has been shit. I rub my eyes to her away from the tiredness. I should've bought a coffee.

"So are you and Maddie like done?" A voice said behind me and I spin around blinking a lot.

"What!?" I asked.

"You know, are you like done? Broken up...since she's like in the hospital?" She asked. I take a deep breath. This school is fucked.

"No, we aren't "done" what made you think that?" I asked shutting my locker staring at the freshman with her group. She's like 15-16.

"Well I don't know, she's like not around anymore" she shrugs.

"She's in the hospital obviously, she snot dead" I said bluntly. "Has anyone ever told you not to listen to rumours?" She just shrugs. "Just go" I shoo them away. I shake my head. I run a hand through my hair and yawn once again.

"Not gonna lie, the whole scruffy, stubble look is working for you" Lila says. I look at her.

"Shut up, I know I look like shit" I said.

"No I'm not kidding, it suits you I like it you look more many and less baby face-ish" she says. I lean against my locker closing my eyes. I didn't sleep last night again. Insomnia kicking in. "You should really get rest."

"I'm fine" I muttered.

"I don't think a week without barely any sleep is fine" she laughs.

"I am, I've been taking naps once in a while" I shrug.

"When was the last one you took?" She asked.

"4 days ago" I said she rolls her eyes. My eyelids feel heavy. The bell rings. "See you later" I said and we went our separate ways. I got to my class and sat down. I blink opening my eyes and rub them. I'm good. Just get through the day and you can nap today after school. The teacher walks in and starts talking.

I got to second class I didn't fall asleep at least which is good but I've been doing this for a while I think I'm fine now. I sit down in my seat.

"You look like you might fall asleep any minute now" Luke says.

"I'm fine" I said.

"Really I don't know about that" he said.

"I am just a little tired" I yawn.

"A little I'm sure" he nods. I rub my eyes as I lean on the palm of my hand. I'm good, I'm great. The teacher walks in and starts our lesson. I kinda doze off not listening much and think about Maddie. Please wake up soon.

"Mason...Mason...Mason Carter" I shirt up in my seat as my names being called. I blink vigorously.

"I'm up, I'm good what are we on?" I asked the class is pretty much empty.

"You fell asleep during class and missed the lesson" the teacher says. Oh shit.

"Oh fu-sorry" I muttered.

"Are you ok? Everything good at home?" She asks. Nothings good anywhere.

"Oh, yeah...fine it's not about home" I said she nods.

"Then what?" She asked.

"It's nothing, I'm sorry I fell asleep" i said she raised an eyebrow.

"Knowing Mason Carter...he wouldn't say sorry for something like that...what's going on?" She asked with a small grin.
