Maeve POV
"Maeve. Maeve!"
Even in the dead of night as I'm quietly padding down the hall, I hear the whisper from behind the closed door. It seems rushed, but raspy and unclear. It must be Calum.
I open the door to see him laying down on his bed with his hands covering his head. He looks absolutely miserable. I can tell that he is definitely sick and not faking it.
"Calum? What's wrong?" I whisper, trying not to disturb him too much.
"The world is spinning. Make it stop." Calum croaks.
I tentatively sit next to him on his bed. I ask him what he needs and what he needs me to do for him.
"Medicine. And water or something. Oh fuck everything is spinning. I'm so dizzy. Maeve please help."
The poor kid is miserable and very sick. Before I leave to get his medicine, I put a bucket next to his bed. In case.. well you know what it's for. He's going to need it.
Judging by what he tells me, he has some type of motion sickness. Something easy to fix, but it absolutely sucks to have. When I had motion sickness, I just took Dramamine which cut back the spinning feeling. That should help Calum. His sickness seems much worse than what most people get from motion sickness. It usually goes away fast, but I guess not for him.
I knock on his door softly and hand him the medicine and water. He barely looks up, but he takes it quickly and sighs. Cal burrows his head in his hands after he takes the medicine.
"Cal? Do you want me to stay in here tonight?"
He slightly nods, and I go to sleep on a chair in the corner of the room. "There's plenty of room in the bed. It's uncomfortable to sleep in a chair all night." He whispers.
I'd be fine on the chair, but I hop into bed next to him. His feverish pale skin presses against my skin. It instantly makes me sweat, I hope he'll catch a few hours of sleep.

The boys have a show tonight, but Calum is in no condition to play. He woke up a total of nine times last night and he threw up each time. Poor guy can't even keep water down for a long amount of time.
The others woke up surprisingly early, around 8. I've already told them that Calum isn't playing tonight, so they are in the living room trying to figure out who will take his solos. I know Cal will be extremely upset that he can't play the show, but it's for his safety and health. Ash, Mike, and Luke were all very understanding and they don't want to push Cal to do anything while he isn't feeling well.
Cal stumbles out of his room, holding on to the walls because he's still dizzy. I watch him closely as he slowly moves to the living room where his band mates are. Michael immediately stands up to help him sit on the couch. I try to keep myself busy when the guys ask Calum how he's feeling.
Calum's raspy voice responds, "I feel like absolute shit."
Luke is rather hesitant, but asks, "Do you think you can play the show tonight?"
"I really want to, but I don't think I'll be able to stand without falling, I'm so dizzy." Calum sighs.
That's my cue to come in with his medicine for this morning. The boys look up at me with concern filled in their eyes. They all care a lot about Cal, and they don't like to see him this way. I shrug, knowing that they are asking my advice.
"Cal, why don't you come with us and stay backstage? You can still be at the show, but you can rest. You can tell your fans why you can't preform before the show starts. I know your fans will be understanding." I suggest.
Calum nods happily because he can still connect with his fans. Ash looks at me gratefully and thanks me silently. That's why I'm here, right?

I put my arm around Calum's waist and take most of his weight off the ground. His feet are barley touching the ground. Ashlynn slings his arm around her shoulders to help support him too. She is carrying the microphone that Calum will be using in a few moments. We wait for the arena to fill up before security lets us go out on the stage.
I can hear the screams even before I can see the audience. Calum smiles slightly as he hears his fans yelling his name. He seems really happy to see his fans.
"Hey guys." He laughs. "I'm actually really sick right now." The crowd aww's and quiets down a lot before Cal continues. "I'm in no condition to play tonight's show. I'm super dizzy and there's no way I'll be able to jump around and play bass. I'm really sorry for not being able to play the show, but my band mates will give you the best show that they can. I hope you all understand. My best regards to all of you, have a great time tonight!"
As soon as he gets off stage, Cal plops into the couch in the dressing room. He falls asleep as soon as he lies down.
Ash, Mikey and Luke start the show. After about three songs, Calum wakes up and joins me by the edge of the stage. Two songs later and Ashton is introducing Amnesia. Calum asks me if he can go and sing.
"As long as you sit down somewhere on the stage. Come off if you feel really sick okay?"
He thanks me profusely and grabs a microphone. He wanders on stage and smiles when he looks out into the audience.
"What are you doing here mate? I thought you were going to rest." Ash asks.
"I wanted to do something for this show, so I'm going to sing Amnesia with you."
"Mate you look so fucking lost without your bass." Michael laughs.
"Just start the damn song." Calum demands.
Mike and Cal sit on the stage together and Calum puts his arm around Michael as he starts the song with the guitar. Luke soon joins them and Ashton too. The boys all sit center stage as Michael strums his guitar. Calum starts the song, and I've never seen him happier. Ash harmonizes with him at points and it's a beautiful night.
Signing off,
MaeveAw sick Calum. Sorry if these next few updates aren't great, I'm writing them in advance, so sorry for the mistakes. I'm at a music camp and am staying in dorms. It's actually quite cool.
