I opened my eyes not really sure of what had woken me.
I layed there for a minute and stared at the roof of the tent and listened for any noises outside. I didn't hear a thing.
I realized that the sun was just starting to rise, I really wanted to see it so I quickly threw on my swimmer's and a shirt grabbed my towel and stepped out of the tent.
Holy cap, I thought, It's cold.
I smiled to myself, was I really going to go for a swim?
I made my way down to the edge of the lake and sat down.
I stared out over the lake and watched the sun as it slowly began to peak over the horizon.
Suddenly i heard running from behind me and before i could even react Matt ran past me, threw his towel at me and dived into the water.
"Jesus...it's freezing!" he yelled as he surfaced.
I put my finger to my lips to indicate that maybe he should be a little quieter.
"Sorry." he said and dived under the water again and began swimming further out.
I wanted to go for a swim but now I wasn't so sure.
I watched Matt swimming and stood up suddenly, I didn't like the thoughts I was having.
I turned to head back to the tent when Matt called out to me.
"Are you coming in?"
I shrugged at him.
"Wouldn't want to mess your hair up." he said sarcastically.
And there it was, the usual nasty comment that I'd been waiting for.
I just looked at him not sure what to say.
"What are you two doing going swimming." Jimmy said as he and Lilah walked over to me.
"I was going to" I said "but not now."
Lilah gave me a funny look as I turned and walked away.
I made my way back to the campsite.
