I walked quickly and everytime I heard a car I hid.
The closer I got to the beach the colder it was, actually I was freezing.
There were a few people around but I walked past and didn't make eye contact.
Now I was at the beach what was I going to do? I needed to find somewhere out of the cold, and the breeze here on the beach was chilling.
Damn, why didn't I grab a jacket.
I walked awhile until I felt I was far enough along that nobody would find me and I sat against the wall. I curled myself up as tight as I could too keep out the cold.
I don't know how long I was there but suddenly I heard someone call my name.
It was Lilah.
I stood up, it hurt, I was freezing.
"Lilah." I called back.
I saw a shadow run and come into sight.
"What the fuck are you doing Ana, Matt is beside himself." she yelled.
I just stood there shivering.
She pulled out her phone, "Matt she's further down, yes we'll walk up and meet you." she hung up and grabbed my hand "Your freezing, come on let's go."
We walked a little way when I saw Matt.
He grabbed me and wrapped his arm's around me "What are you doing?" he asked.
I shook my head.
"And god, your freezing." he took off his jacket and wrapped it around me then pulled me to his chest.
I stood there in his arm's, what was I thinking anyway, leaving him.
We walked back to the car's and Lilah got in her's and left.
We got in Matt's and he started it and put the heat on.
"Ana, why?" he asked.
"I don't know, I thought maybe if I left...." I couldn't finish.
He leaned over and kissed me.
"Let's go home." he kissed me again.
"I'm sorry." I whispered.
He smiled "Don't be sorry, just don't leave me again."
I wouldn't.
