I'd heard Matt get up and I also saw my dad drag him off to do something with some fishing line.
I sat down and just watched everyone.
A short time later Matt came back and went straight to the tent.
"Jimmy, get up, apparently we have to go fishing. " he said.
"I don't wanna." Jimmy moaned.
"Yeah well neither do I but I don't have a choice, so if I'm suffering so are you."
So they went fishing.
I hung around the camp for awhile and talked with the girls.
After awhile, when it became apparent that Lilah wasn't getting up anytime soon, I decided to go to the lake and swim and sun bake.
I walked a little way up from the camp and layed out my towel, then I went for a swim. It was beautiful and cool and I needed it because I was so tired.
I layed on my towel and I must have drifted to sleep because when I woke up I realized that the boat was back.
"Oh god." I groaned rolling onto my back, I was stiff from being in the same position for who know's how long.
I heard someone walking towards me.
I looked over and my heart skipped a beat.
It was Matt.
He had on shorts, with no shirt, his towel was over his shoulder and he had on his sunglasses.
He walked directly over to me and layed out his towel next to mine and without a word he walked to the water and dived in.
I wanted to sit up and look at him.
Oh god, I thought, what was I thinking, he made it apparent already that last night was a mistake.
And so my brain went crazy, replaying last night and thinking the same thing over and over.
I didn't even notice that Matt was out until I felt water dripping on me.
I looked up and he was standing there looking at me.
"We need to talk." he said.
But I already knew what he was going to say.
