I felt pretty good over the fact that Jimmy and Lilah had broken up..........for about 5 minutes then I felt like a complete asshole.
Jimmy was obviously devastated and Lilah hadn't even come to school
I needed to tell Jim what had really happened, how she'd pushed me away and yelled at me.
I found him at lunch sitting outside by himself.
I sat down next to him.
"Have you come to gloat?" he asked me.
"Aww shit Jim, it wasn't even like that, yeah I wanted to get back at you and yeah she kissed me back.."
He opened his mouth but I cut him off "She kissed me for like 2 seconds Jim, then she pushed me away and screamed at me."
He looked surprised.
"She didn't tell you this?" I asked.
"No, she didn't mention that part at all." he said.
"Well if I were you I'd go and see her, don't let her get away Jimmy, she's something special." And it was true, I thought she was very special.
"Maybe your right....I'm pretty miserable."
"No shit....go now, I'll cover for you." I said pushing him up.
He nodded "Thanks Zack."
"Yeah don't worry about it and I am sorry for this, I'm such a dick."
"Yes, you are a dick." he said smiling and walking to his car.
