Draco's P.O.V (12 hours later)
I was lying next to Hermione, waiting for her to wake up. She shifted a bit and gripped my shirt.
“Hermione, are you awake?” I asked, propping myself on my elbows.
She moved her hands to her stomach as her eyes squeezed closed.
“Oh geez,” she gasped, her voice cracking immensely.
I summoned a pain relief potion.
“Drink this, Hermione,” I ordered, bringing the brim to her lips.
She quickly downed it and opened her eyes. She slowly relaxed as the pain left.
“What happened?” She asked, her voice scratchy and rough.
“You hurt something close to your lungs is what Theo told me,” I replied, moving back towards her.
She looked like she was trying to sit up, but ended up being far too weak.
“Just relax, Hermione, you need rest.”
She sighed and grabbed my hand. I squeezed hers lightly but got hardly anything in return.
“Come on, you can do better,” I smirked.
“No, I can't,” she sighed.
I pursed my lips and rubbed my thumb over her knuckles. She closed her eyes and almost fell asleep again.
I sent a patronus to Theo asking if I should do anything before he came here. Hermione didn't look good at all. Moments later, Theo’s patronus, a large horse, soared through the window. It began to talk with Theo’s voice.
“Give her another blood replenishing potion and a glass of water. I'll be there in an hour.”
Then, the horse disappeared. I quickly got a blood replenishing potion and summoned a glass of water.
"You're gonna have to help me sit up. That's a lot to drink lying down," she mumbled.
I set the stuff down on the bed and gently pulled her into my arms. She was leaning into my chest with her head on my shoulder.
I grabbed the blood replenishing potion first, so she could wash it down with water.
She downed it as fast as she could, but still had a coughing fit after.
"It... burns," she said between coughs.
"Drink the water; it will help," I ordered, bringing the glass to her lips.
She lightly put her hand on mine and chugged the water.
"Thank you," she muttered.
Her voice was raspy and forced. I put my arms around her waist and rested my head on hers. I gently eased her back down.
Her skin was still pale, and her body temperature felt low.
A knock at the door startled Hermiome. She winced when she jumped. I got up and opened the door.
"Theo, why didn't you apparate in?" I asked lightly.
"I didn't want to give her a heart attack," he joked.
I let him in and locked the door.
"How are you feeling, Hermione?" He questioned her, turning right to healer mode.
"I'm fine," she mumbled, trying to sit up again.
"No, don't sit up. I'll need to check for internal bleeding in a moment," he stopped her.
