Courtney's POV

Few days later:

Everyday, I see Lucas growing up so fast. I just wish I could freeze the moment and spend more time with him. But before I know it, he would go to school and make new friends and face challenges. I still pray every single day that Shayne is with us. We would be a happy family...

I am sitting on the couch, with my baby boy on my lap, holding an interactive book for Lucas to see and hopefully learn something.

"Oh Lukey! You found the kittens!!" I squealed and Lucas giggled. His giggle are so cute and I can't get enough of it.

We are just continuing to play around until I heard the doorbell ring. I placed the book on my coffee table and went towards the door, with Lucas on my hips.

"Hey Courtney!!" Boze greeted me with flowers and some desserts.

"Boze!! Glad you came! This is Lucas! Would you hold him for a sec so I can put your gifts on the table?"

"Not a problem!" I handed my son to her and she started talking to him with a baby voice.

"I'm your Auntie Boze, Lucas!" I heard her say from the kitchen.

It is so nice, seeing that Lucas is enthusiastic about meeting other people.

I walked back to the living room where I see that Boze placed Luke on the floor. He is seven months old, meaning that now he would start trying to crawl.

"You're a good mother Court!" Boze complemented me, making me blush.

"Aww thanks! I'm happy that he is enjoying your company just like the others."

"So how are things in the office?" I asked her. I haven't had the time to really check on everyone due to my previous work and my child.

"Well where should I start... No drastic change so far other than Anthony and Damien, but everything is still in tact." she explained. I was nodding the whole time to show that I was paying attention while looking at my son.

Flashback (Last September):

"Do you think it is a good idea?" Olivia asked me, skeptic about my decision.

"Yes I'm sure! If he is ready to look at it then be it?" I assured her.

"But what if he doesn't read it and when you come back, he finds out in another way?"

"I don't care! He is gonna know somehow anyway. I don't want to force him into something he doesn't want to be involve in!" I shouted.

"Sorry, hormones." I apologized quickly when I noticed how frightened she looks.

I started sobbing in front of her. I have been dealing with so much that I wasn't even able to express how I feel for the past nine months. All my attention was on my baby and I didn't care about other things.

"It's okay Court! You will do great as a mother, even if Shayne is not here to support you!" she wiped the tears from my cheeks and gave me a hug.

"Thanks Liv! Can you just give him the letter?" I handed her a small envelope, with Shayne's name on it. She nodded her head and took the letter.

"By the way, would you like to be Lucas's godmother?" I asked. Her face lit and immediately hugged me.

"Hey Boze... do you know if Shayne has read the letter?" I am secretly hoping that he did, to make it easier for me to introduce Lucas.

"To be honest with you, I don't think he has. He didn't want to know anything of what's going on with you. He would just go to work and then home, not even hanging out with us anymore. He has been distancing himself from everyone."

That breaks my heart to hear that Shayne has changed. He isn't the same person anymore.

I want him back so bad. I miss his smile, his hugs, everything. I knew Shayne is the one. I knew I had that true love right there. I just don't know how to get it back.

I look at my son and everything about him screams Shayne. He got his father's eyes, facial structure and his strength even though he is a baby. I want my son to have a family he deserves. But I don't know where to start. I hope that he accepts him.
