David and the chief stopped laughing, and the chief cleared his throat and motioned for David to exit the room. Which he did.
"So, I see you have taken the offer of working at LAAU." -The chief said.
"We didn't really have much choice." -Evan spoke, irritated.
The chief laughed again, but quickly stopped himself before he would completely lose himself.
"Well that's the same thing. My name's Greg, and I'm the chief of this agency." -The chief stated.
"Nice. Good for you, got yourself a building full of men in suits." -Tyler said sarcastically.
"Yeah, and those men in suits are professionals who catch criminals on a daily basis." -The chief stated.
"They even caught you, Tyler. But let's not get sidetracked."
Tyler scoffed, but said nothing as he and Evan continued to listen to what the chief had to say.
"You have been offered a place here at the agency to become agents yourself, which you have been hired already. Now, as far as I know, you have been informed that you are partners, right?"
As soon as the question left the chief's mouth, Evan and Tyler made eye contact and shot each other a glare.
The chief laughed.
"I guess that's a yes. However, I don't get why you completely hate the idea. You two are both intelligent, skilled in combat and good at making quick decisions in critical and desperate situations."
Hearing that they had some things in common, both Tyler and Evan shot another glare at each other. The chief chuckled once more and his grin grew wider.
"See? You pretty much think alike too. All you have to do is learn to get along and you have the chanve to be the best team of agents out there." -He explained.
Evan and Tyler stayed silent and didn't reply. They were still trying to sink in the current situation into their heads.
The chief cleared his throat.
"Okay, anyway, here's what's gonna happen next." -He said with a grin.
Safe to say, Evan and Tyler did not like that expression on his face. They both knew hell was coming their way.

"So, do you think the chief will explain everything to them?" -Natalie questioned.
David leaned on the counter and shrugged, letting out a sigh.
"I dunno, but I'm pretty sure they're gonna be my responsibility from the beginning." -He groaned, which made Natalie chuckle.
"Well, at least you're getting a raise for it, no?"
"Yeah, but no amount of money is worth dealing with those two loud idiots." -David stated.
"I still don't get why we chose Tyler, out of all criminals, to join us. I mean, I get why Evan - he is the best officer in town, but..."
"Well, Tyler was the only one we've been able to track down out of his crew." -Natasha said.
"Yeah, and that was because one of his friends sold him out. Which means he's careless." -David explained.
Natalie rolled her eyes at his comment. He did had a point.
"So what? Everybody makes mistakes, give the man a chance." -She said.
