"I don't know how he did it." -Brock admitted, which made David sigh.
"I don't either. I mean, seriously, he was basically under our noses and we didn't even realize it." -He whined.
"Who are you guys talking about?" -Natalie asked as she entered the room.
"And what brings you here?" -David asked.
"The door was open. Plus, I'm on my break." -She explained.
"David, can you explain? I'm kind of busy right now." -Brock spoke, quickly glancing at David.
"Yeah." -David nodded.
"Do you know how we managed to catch Tyler?"
"Um, not really. How?" -Natalie asked as she sat down on the nearby couch.
"Well, simple really. He was sold out by his recent accomplice, Lui Calibre." -David started.
"Ouch."
"Yeah. Anyway, Lui actually came here two days ago under the disguise of a fellow agent and turned Tyler in himself. And we didn't find out until it was too late."
"We didn't take it as suspicious as we should've from the beginning. I mean, only two weeks after he became mine and Brock's objective by the chief's orders, another agent supposedly from SFAU knew exactly he'd be at that abandoned building that night. And we didn't even question it, we just started strategizing to get Evan there too at the exact same night."
David sighed and sat down, and Natasha let out a giggle.
"Don't worry David, everybody makes mistakes. You just happened to make a big one." -She commented.
"You're horrible at cheering people up." -David said and Natalie chuckled, waving him off.
"Well, good luck with finding him. I have more reception work to do. See ya." -She said and walked out.
"Bye Nat." -David and Brock said in unison.
"So? Anything on him?" -David asked and walked back over to Brock's desk.
"It's been less than two minutes you last checked on me. I haven't found anything." -Brock said and rolled his eyes.
"Jeez, you're slow. Maybe we should get Tyler to help us or something." -David commented as he began pacing around the room.
"Yeah, he'll totally be happy to sell out his friend."
"He will. Lui sold him out anyway." -David noted.
"Yeah, but don't you think he had a reason to sell him out? Like, maybe Tyler did something wrong to him or messed with his business?"
David stopped pacing and started pondering. Brock had a point, Lui had to have some kind of reason to sell him out, he thought.
"But what if he sold him out because he was paranoid? You know, maybe he was about to be caught, so he used Tyler as a scapegoat?" -David said.
Brock slowed down his typing on the keyboard and pondered as well. This time, David had a good point.
"Maybe we should just ask him?" -Brock suggested.
"Yeah, right. Like he'll tell us willingly." -David said sarcastically.
"Maybe he won't, but you never know. You should still try." -Brock shrugged, and went back to typing at his previous pace.
David propped his chin and wondered for a few moments, before making a decision.
"I'll ask tomorrow. For now, just try to see what you can find." -He instructed and walked over to the door.
"Where you going?"
