"You did a good job on the mission boys. Even David agrees, he's just super pissed right now." -Natalie spoke.

"Has he always been such an asshole?" -Evan asked boldly, which made Natalie laugh.

"I guess. At least he means well, he doesn't want any of LAAU agents to unnecessarily get hurt. Even you guys."

"I seriously doubt that." -Tyler said.

Natalie just shrugged and looked back to the road. A comfortable silence hung in the air as the pair let themselves drift away and almost fall asleep.

It was an exhausting mission, and they did a lot of running. And unfortunately, that calmness wouldn't last very long.

The pair snapped back to awareness as they felt the car slightly start speeding up.

"What's going on?" -Evan asked.

"We're being followed."

At her reply, both of them noticed the black car that was driving directly behind them in the rearview mirror.

The car sped up just like them, and they gave up on not looking suspicious and just continued to follow them.

Natalie quickly took a sharp turn and continued speeding up in an attempt to shake them. But the car managed to keep up.

This guy was good, and she concluded that she had no choice but to drive back to the LAAU building to scare him off.

She used unusual routes to confuse the driver and hopefully he wouldn't notice her destination. But he did.

As soon as he realised where she was headed, he gained a suprising amount of speed and Natalie started getting worried a little.

As he got closer and closer, you could almost kake out his face in the car. And when Tyler looked back, he recognized the mask immediately.

"Lui?"

"What?" -Natalie questioned as she took another sharp turn.

"Lui Calibre? Your former accomplice?"

"Uh, yeah-"

They noticed Lui stick his hand out the window, in which he held a gun, and take out their tire.

Natalie began losing control over the car as they almost swerved off the road, but she quickly gained control back and somehow managed to keep driving.

They lost a good amount of speed, though, and their chances of getting away were getting slimmer and slimmer.

"What the fuck does he want Tyler?! Didn't he deal with you already?!" -Evan asked.

"How the fuck should I know?! I knew he'd try to kill me but not like this!" -Tyler replied.

Meanwhile, Lui noticed he was up against a really skilled driver, so he took out another one of their tires.

Natalie tried to keep driving but she couldn't keep up and lost control over the car. They abruptly swerved off the road and crashed into a building.

"Hey Brock." -David greeted him as he entered their office.

"Hey, need anything?"

"Actually, I was wondering if you were able to confirm that Lui stole that car."

"Well, I've been trying to figure that out. All the cameras are missing footage of the car being driven away. In one moment it's here and in the next, it's gone. I've tried the hidden camera and the backup camera but they're missing those same five minutes too."

"So, it would seem that all we have is a witness report from the cashier of his description?" -David asked.

"Yeah, pretty much."

David sighed and shook his head.

"Don't worry. We know what car he's driving. We've alerted our field agents to keep an eye out and we've also alerted LAPD to send out patrols and look for him." -Brock added.

"That's not what's really bothering me too much."

"Then what is?"

"I just don't get what he's playing at. Stealing a car in broad daylight from a gas station? And venturing out on his own?"

"Yeah, that does sound pretty unusual. For him at least. But, whatever the case, I'm sure we'll find him this time."

"I'm not so sure about that. The motherfucker has done riskier shit and we got away. Like the time he walked up to our FRONT DOOR and disguised as one of OUR OWN!"

David's face reddened from his anger and Brock tried really hard to contain his laughter, but a few chuckles still escaped him.

"Look, relax. That was a one-time thing, and we've learned since then. Plus, he's getting really careless, it's only a matter of time before he fucks up so bad he won't be able to get away."

"That doesn't make me feel better. We've had this mission to catch him for 2 months already, and it was handed off to us after another team was put on it for 7 months!"

He deeply sighed and sat down at his desk.

"I just hate feeling like I can't do anything but wait..."

Suddenly, his phone rang and he almost jumped out of his chair. He checked to see who was calling, and saw it was Natalie.

"Hello?"

"Uh, David?"

"Evan?"

"Yeah."

"Why do you have Nat's phone?" -He asked, feeling very confused.

"Yeah, I don't have your number so I figured I could borrow hers."

"Ah, alright. Is everything okay?"

Evan stayed silent for a few seconds. He didn't know David too well but he still felt sympathy for him. And that's why saying the next words was still diffcult.

"David, there was...a crash."

"A crash?"

"Yeah. We were being followed and...we ended up crashing and..."

David heart sank and he had an idea where this was going.

"We're in a hospital right now. Owen's Medical Center. Meet us here."

"Hospital? Is everyone okay? Anyone injured?"

"We're- just get here asap."

And he hung up, leaving a worried David. He feared if anythig happened to Tyler or Evan, and especially Natalie.

He jumped up from his seat and hurriedly headed for the door.

"Brock, something bad happened. I'm gonna check on them. You coming with?"

Brock sensed the urgency and worry in his voice and immediately followed him, replying with action rather than words.

Hey, back with another update!

I think I'll be able to keep this up, updating once a week I mean.

If anything, it'll stretch to two weeks an update under special circumstances, but school ends in two weeks for me, so I might update more frequently.

At least I hope so.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading and I'll see you next week with part 20.
