"Three!"
As soon as he yelled so, he burst through the door and shot the first guy he saw. At the same time, he heard an explosion go off beneath him.
And even though he was expecting it, he still wasn't entirely prepared for it.
The building shook and he managed to get back into focus, quickly firing shots at the remaining two guys in the room.
As he shot the second one down, the last one managed to shoot Tyler in the arm before finally being shot dead.
"Fuck!" -Tyler hissed and inspected the wound on his forearm.
"Shouldn't you be used to getting shot already?" -Evan asked.
"I wasn't shot that many times. So...not really." -Tyler spoke.
He reloaded his pistol and quickly ran down the stairs to the third floor.
Meanwhile, Evan sniped off a few people before spotting two black SUVs pulling up in front of the building.
"Shit. There's more coming." -Evan informed, scoping in and watching the vehicles.
The doors flew open and more members of the Bloody Hellhounds appeared. Evan shot two before they realised there was a sniper and took cover. He heard shots firing from the building and looked over to see Tyler shooting down everyone on the floor.
Figuring that he'll take care of them just fine, he went back to killing off their backup that was desperately trying to figure out Evan's location.
"I got David, but he's knocked out and in pretty bad shape. Is there anyone else in the building or nearby?" -Tyler asked.
"That's the last of 'em. Good job you two." -Brock spoke.
Evan rolled his eyes, standing up from his position and quickly streching.
"What now?" -He asked, slowly walking back towards the staircase that lead him to the rooftop.
"Well the cleanup crew will come and pick up the bodies while LAPD is on their way to investigate the place. You two just get back in the car and drive back to the agency. I've uploaded its location to the GPS just in case you don't know how to get back." -Brock explained.
"By the way, you might wanna call the fire department." -Tyler said.
"God damn it, is it that bad?" -Brock asked.
"Define bad." -Evan said, skipping the last two stairs as he jumped off and walking back towards the car.
"Jesus, David's gonna snap." -Brock commented and chuckled.
~~~
Back at the agency, David was taken to the nearby hospital while Brock greeted the two partners.
"You guys did well, good job." -Brock commended.
"Although next time, try not to burn shit down, kay?"
"Yeah yeah yeah..." -Both of them mumbled.
"Anyways, you must be hungry. We're going out for dinner to Suzie's Diner. But before that, let's have Mandy check that out for ya." Brock said pointing at Tyler's gun shot wound.
He led them to a small medical department of the building and upon reaching Mandy's office, he knocked on the door. Few seconds later and the door opened, revealing a smiling red haired woman.
"Hey Brock. Pretty rare seeing you here." -Mandy said.
"Yeah. Would you mind taking care of Tyler's injury?" -He asked.
"Nah, that's what I'm here for. Come in." -She spoke, moving out of the doorway allowing for the trio to enter.
Her office was a pretty standard doctor's office: there was a desk with a chair and a stool next to it, a couch, a few cabinets and a hospital bed.
"Take a seat, I'll just get the med kit." -Mandy said, walking over to one of the cabinets.
Tyler sat down onto the bed like he was told and rolled up his sleeve, casually looking over the wound once again.
"I'll be right back." -Brock said, walking out of the office.
As soon as he walked out, Mandy fished out the med kit and walked to her desk, opening a drawer and pulling out a few tools. After taking what she needed, she walked over to Tyler, sitting down onto the stool next to the bed.
"Alright, let's see..."
She cleaned his wound and bandaged it up in no time, wrapping some gauze around it.
"All done." -She said, got up and put the med kit and tools away.
"That was quick." -Evan commented.
"Well the bleeding already stopped, and the wound wasn't infected and already started to heal, so it was a piece of cake. Plus, I practiced bandaging up small wounds quickly back in college." -Mandy explained and chuckled.
They continued making small talk until Brock finally returned, with a shirt in his hand.
"Here. Figured blood doesn't suit you." -He spoke, tossing Tyler the shirt.
"Thanks." -He said as he caught it.
He immediately took off the bloody one and put on the new one, being careful not to mess up his bandaged injury in the process.
"I'll take that. I'll wash it and return it to ya tomorrow." -Mandy suggested and held out her hand.
Not knowing what else he'd do with it, he shrugged and handed Mandy the shirt.
"Okay. Let's go. Thanks again Mandy." -Brock said and walked out of the room.
"No problem!"
Hai.
Yes, I am back.
It's been long, and honestly I missed writing.
It's just that I was getting back into anime and started playing Overwatch that I wasn't really that inspired or motivated to write.
But now I'm back and hopefully here to stay.
Dunno when's the next update but I'll try to push it out next week.
Kinda wanna get back to my old update schedule, which was a part every week, but I'll see how things go first.
I guess that's all.
Mandy's profile has been added to Character Profiles.
