The week goes by quickly but I'm dreading next week because that's when all of the organizations come out of the wood work and start their duties. Getting into law school is a tough goal to achieve,, which means that I need a 4.0 or above along with leadership in student organizations and everything. So I am now the president of the Pre-Law Students Association on campus and I'm a member of a few other organizations as well. Basically, after this week, I'm going to be incredibly busy.
On Friday, I'm hanging out with Bella and Esther because I decided to cook dinner tonight which is a nice and relaxing thing that I like to do on weekends, especially when I'm strung out. Not just because of the stress that's about to be thrust upon me but also because Shaw hasn't called and I gave him my number four days ago and I can't ask Bella if that's normal because Jesse and Clayton haven't told Bella the truth yet so she still thinks that we're together.
We've just finished up eating our dinner when Clayton and Jesse walk in. Of course. They'd been gone all evening so I was really hoping that they'd taken my plea and started spending more time in Clayton's apartment but I guess they just can't let me go one day without hanging out together in this apartment.
"You guys missed dinner," Bella taunts them. "And it was amazing. As usual."
"Why aren't you guys doing something together tonight?" Esther asks me, looking over at Clayton.
"Oh yeah, since we're going to that party tomorrow night, you two should probably go on another amazing date tonight," Bella agrees with Esther.
"Amazing?" Clayton wonders with raised eyebrows.
"Yeah, whatever you two did on Tuesday really lit her up," Bella informs him. "She came over afterward smiling like I've never seen her smile before, it was refreshing. You should definitely do whatever you did on Tuesday again."
"You two really had that much fun?" Jesse asks.
"We did," I confirm with a nod. "It was interesting, we tried something new."
"What'd you guys do?" Esther wonders curiously, all four people now looking at me curiously to see what I have to say about where I was on Tuesday night.
"We've got to keep some secrets here," I respond in a very anti-climactic way. "But what are you doing here tonight, Clay?"
"We're going to play that new video game," He motions to Jesse. "And you guys have a better gaming system than I do so we're going to play it here. Is that cool?"
"Of course," I respond smoothly. "It's always a gift to see your beautiful face."
Bella and Esther laugh and I take our empty dishes to the sink to rinse them out because I'm a good hostess.
"Do you know what you're going to wear tomorrow?" Bella asks me as we go into my room to hang out for a while. My room is pretty small but if two of is sit on the bed and Esther grabs the desk chair, we can all fit comfortably.
"I was thinking one of my dresses," I shrug. "I know that it's not a formal type of party but I want to dress up a little bit."
"Oh," She seems disappointed. "The way that you were dressing on Tuesday, I thought that you'd decided to start dressing sexier because you totally have the body and you just don't use it. But that's fine, whatever you're comfortable with."
"You think that I could pull off something sexier?" I ask her with raised eyebrows. I can see myself in the mirror and I still see all of those flaws that I've found on myself in the years I've been with Clayton. My legs are thin but I don't have a thigh gap and there's a little bit of cellulite high on my thighs. "My legs jiggle when I walk."
