Bambi POV
I tuned my hearing back in when I felt the doctor shaking me. I looked up in high hopes of it turning out to really be nothing, but my family isn't known for having the best of luck. I shook my head and cleared my throat.
"I'm sorry what did you say?" I asked quietly. I could hear the scarce and fear in my own voice so I know for a fact that he heard it too. He cleared his throat and sat the clip board back on his lap.
"I said your pregnant," He replied. My mouth went dry. I couldn't get a word out. I was choked up and couldn't manage to speak. What am I going to do? I just nodded and got up from the bed. He handed me some prenatal vitamins, that I slipped into my bag, and told me what and what not to eat. I slowly nodded the whole time. I got up from the bed and hopped off. I walked back outside and began walking towards the school once more. As I walked I thought about all of the possible outcomes.
When I walked past the yellow house with orange flowers I knew I was close to campus. I slowly walked into the set of double doors looking for Darrian. I waltzed over to his table, the one he sat at everyday with the more social kids, and tapped his shoulder. He turned around and rolled his eyes at me, and scoffed. Okay? I cleared my throat and looked at my feet.
"I need to talk to you," I said lowly but loud enough where he could hear me. He blew out an overly loud sigh and turned around. He had his eyebrows raised, waiting for me to say what I needed to say. I cleared my throat and shook my head.
"In private," I muttered lowly playing with the strings on my bag. He sighed and smirked. What was so funny? I looked around the table quickly seeing all of his friends look me up and down. Probably knowing that they were above me.
"No whatever you have to say you can say it right here," He spoke deeply and with a lot of bass in his voice. I stared for a minute and exhaled slowly gripping my bag tighter. I looked up to Darrian who sat in his table glaring at me. His green eyes a shade darker.
"I'm pregnant," I whispered lowly. He shook his head and chuckled. The rest of them just stared at me in disgust. Darrian's chuckle turning into full blown out laughter.
"Man get out of here, you ain't nothing far from a hoe. You let me hit on the first date, anybody could be the daddy", He whisper yelled angrily causing his whole table to look my way. I just shook the tears away. He knew that wasn't true.
"That's a lie, and you know it," I spoke trying to defend myself. He shook his head and looked away, continuing to talk with his friends. I let a couple tears fall as they silently laughed and talked about me and I quickly ran out of the building down to my usual lunch spot. I slid down the wall and hugged my knees to my chest sobbing loudly, not caring who heard me. I sat there for at least thirty minutes before grabbing my bag and taking the short way home.
When I got to my house I walked up the crooked steps and grabbed my key, unlocking the door. I walked in and didn't see my mom. I sighed and walked upstairs slowly, letting my feet drag against the floor as I silently trudged to my room. When I walked in my room I caught my mom sitting on my bed. When she heard me come in she looked up and cut her eyes at me.
"Get out of my house," She said lowly looking down at the floor. My eyes widened. What? What does she mean get out? Where am I supposed to go? I have nobody.
"W-what," I stuttered looking into her eyes. Her eyes weren't even recognizable to me anymore. She looked at me as if she had no clue to who I was.
"I said get out," She shouted slowly. Tears sprang from my eyes as I looked everywhere around me the room seeing that it was basically empty and there was one huge suitcase sitting by the bed. Was she really throwing me out?
"Where else am I supposed to go," I stated crying. I was confused. What had I done wrong?
"You should've thought of that before you decided to go and get pregnant," She spat evily and my eyes opened with guilt.
"You're still a minor what makes you think I wouldn't have found out!" She exclaimed. I closed my eyes shut tightly and opened them when I felt a sting to my cheek. Had my own mother just put her hands on me?
"Now get out," She said lowly and I nodded as she walked out of the room. I looked in the suitcase and saw all of my things. I didn't have that much stuff anyway. I grabbed the small throw blanket and packed it in the suitcase. I grabbed it and walked downstairs and out of the front door, not so much as giving her a quick glance. I walked and walked until I finally ended up on the other side of town. The nicer side of town.
I stared at the sign in front of me. 'Pinks!', the 3d words that unsurprisingly were pink. I sighed and looked down at my suitcase. I exhaled and walked in with my suitcase at my side. I glanced up at the girls as they danced for the people in the audience. I walked back to the back where a door read Wynter. I knocked on the door and a few seconds later it opened. There stood a man who had light skin, brown hair, and hazel eyes. He looked me up and down before chuckling. He opened the door and I stepped in sitting down on the chair in front of his desk putting my bag and suitcase by my feet.
"So what do you want?" He asked simply with no emotion. He stared at my suitcase for a minute beofre scrunching his eyebrows together. I knitted my eyebrows together in confusion. He looked back up at me and cleared his throat as he raised his eyebrows.
"Oh uhmm I need a job," I said biting my lip nervously. He smiled and chuckled. He sat at his seat and grabbed an expensive looking bottle of liquor that read GIV on the front. He poured some in a glass and took a quick sip. He looked back at me and shook his head smiling.
"They must really think I'm stupid," He said to himself. I was in a moment of needing help but he wasn't even trying to hear me out.
"I really need a job," I repeated and he looked back up at me again. He looked like he was trying to read me. He sighed and shook his head.
"Look I know your working for the feds and whatever you selling I ain't buying so leave," He said. I shook my head and tears welled up in my eyes.
"No you don't understand okay I really need this job, please," I begged him but he looked merciless and as if he'd had better things to do, and he probably did. He sighed and got up walking to the door. He opened it and waited for me to leave. I quietly nodded and stood up grabbing the suitcase walking out. I walked out of the club and saw that it was practically dark outside. I was exhausted and my feet weren't going to lead me anywhere else. I saw an alley right next to the club and quickly walked to it. I layed on the cement floor and got my blanket out of my suitcase covering up with it.
I got the vitamins and a bottle of water that's been in my bag for about a week and swallowed the pill. I used my bag as a pillow and my suitcase stayed cradled in my arms tightly. I wasn't tired but let my eyes get adjusted to the darkness. Before I drifted off to sleep I heard whispers but didn't pay much attention as the tears crossed the bridge of my face.
