Megan's POV

Pagtapos naming kumain ay dinala ako ni Payne sa pool na nasa likod na parte ng clubhouse. Dama ang malamig na simoy ng hangin dahil December na pero 'di ko yun alintana. I felt warm and comfortable while holding her arms. Naka-abre siete kasi ako sa kaniya.

Tiningnan ko muna siya bago ako umupo sa isa sa mga sun lounger. Inilapag ko ang dala kong cocktail drink sa lamesita na nasa tabi ko at saka ako nahiga ng maayos sa lounger. Naramdaman kong umupo din si Payne sa katabing lounger. Napapagitnaan namin ang lamesita.

Hinubad ko ang stilettos ko saka ninamnam ang simoy ng hangin habang nag-uunat. This moment is almost perfect to me.

"Do you see the stars up there?"

Turo ni Payne sa tatlong magkatabing stars na malalaki at nangingibabaw sa lahat.

"Yeah? What about it?"

"I'll get them for you."

I rolled my eyes.

"You can do better than that."

"No! Yes! I mean, I can!"

"What--?"

Bago pa ko makapag-react ay nasa tabi ko na siya hawak ang isang maliit na velvet box.

"Oh my Gosh, no! This can't be happening. Am I dreaming?"

She smiled genuinely, full of love in her eyes.

"Megan, I give you this ring..."

She opened the box and there I saw the most beautiful ring I've ever seen my entire life.

"As a sign of my unconditional love for you..."

The ring is white gold and has three diamonds in it. Magka-size yung dalawa sa gilid at malaki yung nasa gitna.

"As a sign of my promise that I will always love you for the rest of my life..."

Pinunasan niya ang luhang lumalandas sa kanang pisngi ko. Napakaiyakin ko na.

"I want you to hold on to this as you hold on to my promise that I will be forever yours. Eternally."

Isinuot niya sa kamay ko ang singsing. Tinitigan ko pa muna yun ng ilang saglit bago tumingin muli sakaniya. I'm shocked. I don't know what to say. I never knew that Payne is incapable of doing these things. Huminga akong malalim at pinantayan ang intesidad ng tingin niya.

Mula sa aking mga mata'y ipinahahayag ko sa kaniyang totoo ang mga sasabihin ko.

"I'm honored to hold on to this even if it takes forever."

Ngumiti siya saka sinunggaban ako ng halik. Taos-puso ko iyong tinanggap at niyakap siya. I'm still crying though. I can't believe it.

"I love you. Always hold on to that. Whenever you feel me sliping away, just remember that three words from my heart. I'm always be yours. I love you to the moon and back."
