⠀⠀⠀

Kenzie walked through the lunch room doors, looking perfect as per usual. It had been about two days since her conversation with Mr. Blake and she had cooled down a bit.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀They had talked everything out and she was going to have her first tutor session with Johnny that day. She wasn't too happy about it but if she ditched, she'd end up with and 'F', and that's something she'd never hear the end of from her parents.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Kenzie strutted over to her usual lunch table with Jayden and Brynn by her side as always. It seemed as though those two's lives revolved around that one girl. They were always there for her, no matter how much she under appreciated them.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Mackenzie neared the lunch table that everyone wished they sat at. It was right in the middle of the lunchroom, and that's where her and all her popular friends sat.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀She took her usual seat next to Hayden, and Brynn and Jayden sat on the other side of her. Connor Finnerty, Saryna Garcia, Holden Nicolas, and Lexi Drew filled up the rest of the table.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Those were most the popular kids in school. Obviously there were ranks of popularity, but they defiantly came out on top, having Kenzie and Hayden being their leaders.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Saryna and Lexi may have both been in group, but Kenzie had always been closest to Jayden and Brynn. Lexi and her had always had a rocky friendship, and Saryna just wasn't very invested into the whole popular thing, it was a miricale she was still somebody at that school.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Holden and Kenzie had always had an awkward relationship as well. They were best friends, like brother and sister for a long time but Holden developed feelings for her, and she hadn't felt the same.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Connor was Jayden's boyfriend, so Kenzie and him weren't great friend either. Don't get me wrong, this group was pretty tight, at least to the naked eye they were, but of course they had their problems.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Hey babe." Hayden said as Kenzie sat down. She forced a smile onto her face, as she was pushed into sitting closer to him by Brynn.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Hey." She said happily, but it wasn't real. She didn't want to be with him anymore, yet there she was, being fake as usual.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Hayden bent down and pecked her lips, making Kenzie almost puke. Kissing him didn't feel the same anymore knowing what he had done. That he didn't respect her, or value her in any way.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"How have you been?" Hayden questioned, and Kenzie bite her lip to keep herself from screaming at him. She knew she needed to act fine, but being around Hayden made her want to cry and yell all at the same time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Great....um can I talk to you for a second?" Kenzie added hastily. They had only talked once since she caught him with Annie, and so they defiantly had more to talk about. Hayden nodded, and swung his leg off his chair as she did the same.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀He lead the way out of the cafeteria and she followed closely behind. Kenzie hadn't really been paying attention to where she was going because she was more thinking about what she needed to speak to Hayden about.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Suddenly, it felt like Kenzie walked into a wall, and she stumbled backwards slightly. As she caught her balance, she looked up to be met with the green eyes of Johnny Orlando.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Im sorry!" Johnny said quickly, looking beyond embarrassed. Although Kenzie would usually be cut throat in a situation like this she had bigger things on her mind.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Whatever." She muttered cockily, walking around him. Deep down she knew it was her fault they had collided but she totally wasn't in the mood to apologize.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀By the time she had caught up with Hayden they were turning out of the cafeteria, and out into the empty hallway. Blue lockers lined the place, and the wall were painted a bright white with the occasional blue stripe.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"What's up?" Hayden asked as soon as they stopped walking, turning his body to her. Kenzie looked up into his brown eyes, and for the first time in a long time he didn't give her butterflies. She hadn't liked him much, but he still was her boyfriend, she still was attracted to him for awhile, but now she felt nothing.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"What do you think is up?" Kenzie asked in a sarcastic-rude way to her boyfriend. Hayden widened his eyes as if he had no idea what could have Kenzie pissed off.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"I...uh...I don't know..."
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"You, you're what's wrong! I can't do this, pretend like I love you, when all I want to do is just scream at you!" She said quite loudly, but not loud enough that anyone in the lunchroom could hear. They were too busy chatting away, no one would hear her if she screamed at him anyway.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Kenz I'm sorry, it was a mistake, Annie and I." Hayden pleaded grabbing her hand reassuringly, but she wasn't having it, his lame excuse of an apology. She pulled her hand back viciously.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"No, you aren't, you're just sorry I caught you....How many times?" Kenzie questioned, as he lips began to quiver. A tear fell down her face and Hayden widened his eyes in fear.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"What?" He asked looking behind scared, which basically just confirmed Kenzie's suspicion. She wiped the tear from under her eye.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"How many times have you cheated on me Hayden?" Kenzie asked a lot more loud than the time before. The boy looked at her hesitantly, opening and closing his mouth as if trying to find the right words.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Uh...four or uh maybe five times." Hayden muttered acting ashamed, but Kenzie knew damn well he wasn't. She knew that if he was actually sorry he never would have done it on the first place.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"You're unbelievable." She said turning around and storming back through the cafeteria doors. She wiped a single tear that fell from her eyes as she made her way through the crowded place.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀When suddenly someone grabbed her shoulder making her stop in her tracks. She turned back around only to be face with Hayden Sumerall once again, the person she did not want to see.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Kenzie I'm sorry!" He said in a pleading tone, but Mackenzie's stone cold expression never faltered.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Let's get one thing straight, don't you ever pretend like your actually sorry, because we both know damn well you aren't. Second, just know we're only together until I can break up with you without my mother freaking out. Once the day comes I don't have to be with you anymore, I will dump your sorry ass. Until then don't go fooling around with Annie Leblanc because trust me I'll make you're life a living hell..." Kenzie finished cockily, just low enough so that no one around her could hear. With that she turned back around and walked back to her table, not regretting one thing she said.
