All of us got up, even Danny.

"What's happening," Pipsqueak asked running out to us.

I couldn't see a thing. It was pure black out.

"I don't know," I said, "Jax. What's happening?"

"No clue," Jax said.

Something broke the window and I could barely see it release a blue gas.

"Cover your noses," I yelled as my parents walked out here.

Even with my nose covered with a baggy t-shirt, I began coughing like hell.

I fell onto my hands and knees and continued coughing. I started feeling sick as hell.

I flopped onto my side. I could hear my entire family coughing, but not Jax or Danny.

"It makes humans sick," Jax said picking up the shell to what ever hit the window. "I don't have anything for this, but your kind might Danny."

I found myself unable to breathe.

"Danny," I choked.

I felt a wet dog nose against my shoulder.

He back to being human. "Hurry," Danny said, "Jax, if you could help me get them onto my back, I can take them."

"I can carry Halo," Jax said as he reached down to pick me up.

"Help me get the family on my back," Danny snapped.

He went back to being a wolf. Jax lied me down and he helped Danny get my family onto his back.

Jax came back to me and picked me back up.

"I'll follow," Jax said.

Jax can run as fast as Danny because of what he is.

They ran and I closed my eyes. I felt like I had the flu, but it just kept getting worse. I started shaking in Jax's arms.

I was in the worst condition. I was closer to the gas and I got more into me than the others.

I nudged my head into his shoulder. He gripped onto me tighter.

I couldn't see anything. Open or closed, it's like I was blind. Whenever I could make something out from the dark, it wasn't it's natural color. Jax's  hair was green and his clothes were yellow. Danny's white fur was purple.

I just closed my eyes and wanted the pain to beat me.

"Jax," I begged weakly.

"Danny," he yelled, "she can't take this much longer."

I put my arms around Jax's neck and I gave him one last soft kiss on his lips. I let him go, and I couldn't stay awake.

"Halo," Jax snapped as he shook me in his arms.

I let the pain take over me and I fell unconscious.

I woke up in a bed, and someone's soft hands were on the back of my neck. My face was being rubbed with someone else's. The person was amazingly warm, and it took me two more seconds to realize it was Danny.

The sunlight bled onto my skin.

The place I was in seemed like a cabin. It was all logs and wood. Some glass windows and lanterns, but all the beds were built in.

I moaned awake and Danny smiled at me.

"How long was I out," I asked.

"About 3 days," he said with a smile, "Jax said you kissed him before you went cold."
