A Fighter In Love

Chapter 21

I walked home with Danny walking next to me. Both of us were wolves. Pip was on my back, and Jax was sitting behind her as a human.

My parents rode on Danny. I felt tired and I rode with my head low and kept yawning.

"We'll get in bed when we get home," my father said.

Danny started walking close to me, and he nudged my head upwards.

He rubbed his nose with mine and I kept walking.

Everyone was talking, except for me and Danny.

My head was down in a tired way, and Danny couldn't speak as a wolf.

We got back to my place, and Pip and Jax jumped off my back.

I walked into the living room and plopped onto my side. I moaned tiredly. I was back as a human.

Danny let my parents off, and I went back to being human.

Danny picked me up and smiled. I leaned my head against his shoulder. He was back to human, and I moaned tiredly again.

My eyes closed softly, and he walked me up to Jax.

"Hi," I moaned with a smile on my face.

"Hey," he said with a happy voice.

Danny held my forward, and I was put into Jax's arms.

Jax was soft, and he sat down on the couch with me in his arms. My hand went up to his hair, and ran through his silky, white locks.

A grin came to my face, and I put my hand down.

Danny took me from him.

"I'm tired," I said softly.

"Then sleep," Danny said.

My hand was on his chest. He walked me to the end of the couch and lied me down. He grabbed my pillow and a blanket. He covered me up and tucked me in.

 He wanted me to be around everyone, awake or not.

Danny put his forehead with mine and gave me a quick kiss.

"Goodnight my love," he said.

My eyes felt too heavy to open now. My lips felt too weak to move.

I felt the amazing feeling of being home.

Relaxed. Comfortable. Loved.

I found myself drifting off, until Pip ran up to me, shaking me.

"Halo," she said, "come see this."

"Pip," my mother snapped, "leave her alone."

I moaned and opened my eyes slightly.

"I missed you too," I said, "but I need some sleep."

I put my arm around her and  hugged her for a second, then I put my head back down.

Danny walked back up to me as Pip left. Danny covered me back up and kissed my forehead.

I smiled and my eyes closed again.

I fell asleep.

I woke up in my bed. Instead of Danny next to me, it was Jax.

"Hi," I said with a smile.

"Hi," he said with a grin, "Danny went out to go talk with the pack leader, but didn't want to leave you or your family alone."

I smiled and balled up against his chest. He looked at me, surprised.

"It's okay," I said.

He put his arms around me, and  held onto me.
