Danny and Jax followed me back to my house. I opened the door.

"Pip," I called.

She ran out with my parents. "Danny and I are sleeping with you guys tonight. The vampire leader. He's after Pip."

"Why," my mother asked.

"He's planning to kill her or change her before the war. The war starts in a week, but I am only fighting the leader. If he changes Pip, she is forced to fight with the vampires. She would be killed easily. I'm gonna die either way. I'm not gonna let another member of my family fall."

All of us slept in the master bedroom. All of us could fit in the bed.

I held onto Pip, and Danny held onto my parents.

I put Pip in the same position Danny put me in as I converted. Her back to my stomach and a blanket around her.

Danny slept close to us. My parents were in the exact same position. Their backs to Danny's stomach.

Danny and I looked at one another.

Jax hugged us goodbye.

Danny and I rubbed our noses together for a second or two, then we put our heads down.

All of us fell asleep.

I woke up the next morning with Danny and my parents up. Pip was still against me. I nudged her awake, and she smiled at me.

She got up, then I got up after her.

I got down in my human form.

Danny saw me and he walked up to me. "Hey," he said with a smile.

"Hi," I said with a smile on my face.

He gave me a kiss and I smelled food cooking.

"Yum," I said, "Bacon and eggs."

Danny smiled and gave me another kiss.

"I wouldn't want to kiss anyone with dog breath," Pip said.

"I kissed all 3 races," I said to her, "and the worst was human."

"When did you kiss Jax," Pip asked.

"Pip," I snapped, "I'm not going to talk about my past relationship with Jax. I love Danny."

Danny smiled and hugged me.

He let me go, then we saw Pip come out with two plates for us.

We almost grabbed it from her, but she pulled them away.

"Ah," she said, "sit!"

Danny and I thought it was worth it, so we turned into wolves and we sat.

"Good dogs," Pip said as she placed the plates on the table.

We turned back to human, and we sat down at the table.

My parents and Pip walked over with their plates.

We started digging in. Danny and I were starving.

"So Danny," my mother said, "any grand-babies planned before the surprise."

Both of our eyes went wide and we choked on bacon.

Pip leaned back in her seat, cracking up.

My father looked at my mother surprised.

Danny and I coughed.

"Mom," I coughed.

"Just curious," she said.
