A Fighter In Love

Chapter 13

All of three of us got to my house, and I whined sadly. I didn't want Pip to freak out.

Jax and Danny looked at me as my ears went down and my tail went down in between my legs.

Danny walked in front of me and looked at me with his ears up.

I whined a little more. Somehow, I could communicate with him, and I could understand his words. He could understand mine.

I nudged my nose under his neck and rubbed my face with his chin.

He held onto me and he rubbed his nose with mine. We walked inside and I put my tail and ears back up to make an impression.

"Pip," Jax yelled, "Mr and Mrs Charter. Come and see this."

I stood outside at first, then they came around the corner curiously.

I walked in with my ears up happily.

Pip looked at me sadly, but my parents smiled at me.

I ran up to them and they put their arms around my neck as my tail wagged.

I whined a little bit in their hug, then they let me go.

I walked up to Pip. She was in tears.

She threw her arms around me and hugged me. "I love you," she said.

I whined in her arms as I sat down. I had an idea and my ears perked up.

I let her go and I grabbed her shirt with my teeth. I tugged her outside. Jax and Danny followed me. My parents came in behind them.

I ran out and grabbed a stick. A thick one. I brought it back to Pip and I sat down as my tail wagged.

She smiled at me. "My sister is a dog. Fetch!"

She threw it and both Danny and I went after it. He got in front of me, but I tackled him down and I grabbed it.

Danny growled playfully, and I took the stick back to Pip. Danny sneaked up behind me, and he tackled me.

He pinned me on my back, until he got off of me. I growled at him playfully.

He started running and I chased him in circles.

He jumped over our fence, and I stopped. My tail stopped wagging, and I walked back to Pip.

I charged up to Jax and he started running. I chased him, and I finally tackled him playfully.

I licked him to death and he laughed.

He got up and jumped on my back. I wagged my tail. I walked back over to Pip, and I lied down next to her once Jax got off my back.

She sat down next to me, and I held onto her like Danny held onto me. She lied against my stomach in the cold, and I put my head into her lap.

Jax knelt down next to me and he scratched me behind the ear. I moaned happily and I licked him one last time.

I heard a howl of defence from Danny. Jax turned into a bat, and I got up.

I pushed my family inside. "Halo," Pip yelled worried.

I growled at them and they ran downstairs. I jumped the fence and howled back to find where he was.

Danny howled back about a block to the left of me.

I started running and Jax turned back into a human and landed on my back.

I followed Danny's scent, and Jax jumped off of me.

Danny was hiding.

He left off a slight howl, and I found him.

He had Jax's family in front of him. I stood next to Danny and I growled.

"That's her," Jax's brother said.

They looked at Jax, and smiled.

"Looks like you lost her," Jax's sister said.

I lost it, and I tackled Jax's father to the ground. The others came after me, but Jax and Danny got them off me.

I fought the father. He clawed me and we rolled around everywhere. He picked me up and threw me. I got back up and pounced back on him.

He held up a knife. It was made of silver. Werewolves are deadly allergic to silver. Vampires are deadly allergic to garlic.

He swiped at me, and I dodged.

I howled for help from Jax or Danny.

Danny sneaked around behind the father and pinned him down on his stomach, until the brother came up behind me and jumped on top of me. He hung onto me as I rolled and smashed against walls to get him off.

I growled and bit at my back.

I felt a knife slide in between my ribs, and I howled with pain.

I dropped to my side and I realized it was silver.

My paws twitched and I was shaking.

I howled in pain again as my heart raced. Other wolves joined in on the fight and the vampires were chased off.

I whined in pain and Danny ran over to me. He nudged his nose with mine, until a few wolves came over to us. One held a needle and shoved it into my wound. Danny held me down as I struggled and fought in pain. They used their teeth and pressed down on the needle.

I panted and Danny lied down next to me.

Jax knelt down next to me and he ran his hand down from the top of my head and to the bottom of my neck.

"Sun's rising," Jax said.

Even as a wolf, he would kiss me. He kissed the top of my head, and he flew away.

We lied there for a second, then it was sunrise. Danny turned back to human.

"Turn back," he begged me, "think of yourself in your human form."

I closed my eyes, and though of myself in the mirror.

I shrank down to human form and I breathed heavily.

Danny picked me up and put me on his back.

He went back to wolf form and ran me back to my house.

The front door was unlock, and I turned the knob for him.

"Danny," I moaned in pain.

He took me inside and he lied me down on the tile floor as he searched the closets for a first aid kit. He found on and he pulled my dress down just a tiny bit. He wrapped the bandages around me and he picked me up. He walked me downstairs.

He showed me to my parents and Pip.

Danny held me softly in his arms.

My parents ran up to me.

"I said I couldn't guarantee safety," I said with a smile.

"Silver," Danny said, "She was stabbed with a silver knife."

"First fights never go well," I said with a smile.

"That's why I need to teach you," he said with a smile.

I grinned as he lied me down on a couch.

Pip ran up to me crying. "Halo," she said crying.

I hugged her. "I'm okay," I said. "I'm okay. Don't worry. I wont leave you. Everything is fine."

"Stop fighting. Please."

"It's for your protection," I said, "I can protect the family. I'll protect you."

"I don't want you to protect me. I want my sister. I want you alive."

"I am alive," I said, "and I'm still me. I am just a dog and I am allergic to silver."

"Promise me you will still be my sister."

"I promise," I said.
