Yvonne's POV

First day of school after a boring holiday in
Thailand. Beach, tan, surfing, five star hotels,
same old routine every holiday.

It's getting tiring.

I mean why must I have a luxurious boring holiday when I could just go to summer school and crush the spirits of up to two hundred students? That is much more fulfilling for me. But then again, I wouldn't want to because, well, it's summer school.

Anyway, if you are confused about what I mentioned at the beginning let me just clarify things for you.

I am the Yvonne Daniels first daughter of Ethan Daniels who I must mention is a legend in the acting industry. I am the most popular girl in Westtown high. All the boys worship me, and all the girls are intimidated by me.

I am actually kind of a nerd, but that has been classified for quite a long time. I don't know if I should take pride in it or not, but School is the only place that increases my confidence and ego because that where I make people feel less about themselves. In every school, there is a social ladder and for me, I'm at the top. And everyone knows that the one at the top doesn't necessarily have a pleasant attitude. So there you have it.

I anticipate my first day of school after three agonizing months of "enjoyment " as I put on my white stilettos. In a normal home, the mom would have been fretting over her children going early to school and all that bull, but as far as my stuck up, rich family is concerned, my mother probably doesn't even know which class I'm in. I shake my head slightly as one of my knees is bunched up next to the other still trying to put my shoes on.

The only person, much to my dismay, in the family who would literally scream my name would be Alexa-Bernie. I get into the car where my annoying 14 year old brother is waiting for me, puberty stricken torso clad in a black hoodie with a white skull design, overly curly hair disheveled as usual.

"I've been waiting for you for years. Do you always have to get ready so slowly, like you're the queen of England or something?" Alex says.

He always has this tendency to overemphasize and exaggerate whatever he says. I roll my eyes as our driver turns on the car and zooms out of the parking lot of my house. I am lost deep in thought and gaze out the window to look at the scenery; buildings, skyscrapers, etc.

My brother says something and I don't even listen until he taps my shoulder and says "Sis, you okay? I've been talking to you and you don't look like you've been listening."

"Oh? N... Nothing." I say absent mindedly.

He narrows his eyes in suspicion and keeps staring at me. I look at him awkwardly. Did I mention that he is very nosy too? If no then let me just clear things up by mentioning that he is 10 times nosier than 'very nosy'. His intense gaze causes my annoyance to increase.

"Would you chill out I said nothing's wrong!" I snap at him. He just stares at me one last time and looks out his side of the window without replying.

There is silence until we finally reach school. Ah... My favourite place in the world. Sarcasm. I make a grand entrance to the school corridor where everyone sees me. Just like in all those cliche movies. But that's kind of how my life is. Like a movie. The only things we need now are music and maybe a little breeze to push my long flowing hair backwards.
