Yvonne's POV
I immediately stomp downstairs to my Mom's room. I see her flipping through a fashion magazine and sitting cross-legged on her chair. Staring at her for a moment, I get really annoyed by how much I look like her. With Blond-brown wavy long hair pinned beautifully, dimpled cheeks and her intense hazel eyes she is still looking at her magazine, not noticing my presence.
"Mom!!"
She looks up finally with an expression on her face that seems like she is seeing me for the first time with confusion on her face, probably as to why I am screaming at her. But then her face suddenly has a knowing expression already aware of the reason why I am in her room with a furious look on my face. Wow, that's a lot of faces.
She drops her magazine and sighs.
"You know I can't leave you in this house by yourself. You remember what happened the last time? I don't want a repetition of that." She mentions matter-of-factly.
"But it was just an honest mistake." I say annoyingly.
"I don't think breaking almost all the glasses and priceless artifacts in the house because of your wild parties was just an 'honest mistake'." She comments, raising an eyebrow.
"But it was just that one time and I will be more careful this time! Please let Alex and I stay at home, please."
"My mind is made up. I have already made arrangements for where you will be staying in the meantime. I asked my best friend Alyssa and she says she doesn't have a problem with it. You and your brother are going to stay at her house until we come back. That is 4 weeks time." She says.
"But Mom!"
"Don't 'but mom' me now now go and start packing your stuff we will leave the same time you leave for her house."
I stomp out of her room and go upstairs to mine. If I wasn't normal I'll have wanted mom to say 'Don't 'but mom' me, butts are for crapping.' But seriously this is so unfair! I mean why must I go to another person's house when I can stay in mine? I don't even know how to display my anger, so I'm just frustrated.
My brother runs to me and asks in curiosity "Did you change her mind?" I don't even answer and just keep walking to my room.
"Did you change her mind? Did you change her mind? Did you change her mind?" He keeps repeating as he follows me down the corridor and into my room.
I become really furious and scream, "She didn't freaking change her mind now would you just leave me in peace?!"
Alex turns sad. He mutters, "Well that's a bummer." and leaves my room.
After I pack just the things I need to use (which is in two large suitcases), I get dressed and my parents shout my name to summon me downstairs. I look at my room one last time feeling sad. I know it is just four weeks but I'm really going to miss this place. Bye Vanity Mirror, Bye Fluffy Bed, Bye Large Closet. I'll miss you all. Sniffling a little, I go down the grand staircase with my suitcases and glare at my parents as I do. They don't seem to notice as they are busy ordering our driver to take the bags out of the house and into the car.
The ride to my mom's friend's house is short and silent. As I look around the environment, I observe that her house is not that far away from mine and roll my eyes, feeling very annoyed once more. This short move is not even necessary at all. Well, the silence is what Alex and I are giving The Parents as a token of gratitude for the unnecessary short-term move.
When we reach Alyssa's house my mom turns to me with an apologetic expression on her face.
"Are you mad at me?" She asks with her signature motherly smile.
