Yvonne's POV

On our walk home, Crystal and I fill each other in on our life's happenings and so many random things.

"Wait so you are now living in that boy's house?" Crystal asks, her eyes wide open.

"Yup." I reply giving her a small smile. "But at least we haven't tried to assassinate each other yet so I'm okay for now. The boy is extremely annoying and I hate it when he speaks and uses all these big words. He is a complete nerd inside and out. His mother is nice though."

"Wow. A lot has really happened."

"And you know I couldn't help but notice that ever since I have been staying there his nerdy best friend just keeps giving me weird glares and I know I should find them terribly amusing I sometimes feel whether she is all she appears to be."

"Of course not and even if she is what harm can she do?"

"Good point. Crystal you have no idea how much I've missed you. If I feel like talking to somebody about anything I don't see anyone available or that I can I trust."

"Same here." she says smiling at me. Crystal is the only person that I don't behave obnoxious around. It's only to her that I behave nicely.

We talk about the holidays and other stuff until I get to my house. Or in this case Dallas' house.
"See you tomorrow." I say and wave to her.

I press the doorbell waiting for someone to open the door. Mr. Pink flip flops comes out looking worried for reasons I am oblivious to.

"Where are you coming from?" He asks in a calm way but with anger on his face.

I roll my eyes and looking at my nails and reply, "I just came back from Afghanistan. Why? Is there a problem?" in a most sarcastic tone.

"Do you think this is a joke? I thought you were going to go home in my car that's why I stayed and waited for you. For a very long time."

I instantly feel bad for what happened. But I don't let him know that.

"Whatever. You should know I don't even enjoy your company so why do you think I would want to go home with you?" I retort.

Instead of giving me his usual comeback he just stares at me for a while and walks away.
Okay I feel really really bad. But I just can't help my attitude.

I think I should apologize to him. The devilish conscience appears on my shoulder wearing not a red dress as usual but a goth-themed dress and says Seriously girl? Don't even try that because if you do you would be accepting defeat. He didn't even acknowledge you at school today so why should you acknowledge him?

My devilish conscience is right. I shrug and go upstairs to my room.

####

I wake up the next morning with a strange feeling. I get up and walk groggily to my bathroom to brush my teeth. I look at the mirror like I always do admiring my pretty face. But what I see staring back at me is terrifying.

"Eeeeeeeek!!!" I scream.

My face is covered in some sort of weird cream and there is a moustache and a unibrow painted on my face with a marker.

I march straight to Alex's room and shake him trying to wake him up.

"Alexa-Bernie Daniels will you explain what this is?!!!!" I scream again gesturing to my face.

My scream startles him and he jumps up from his bed looking at me in horror.

When he sees my face his demeanor immediately changes from horror to amusement and he keeps his face to stop him from laughing.

He fails miserably and bursts into a session of giggles and guffaws holding his tummy and laughing uncontrollably. That makes me clench my fists more than ready to pounce on him.

"Well I have to admit... That new look looks quite good on you I must say." He says drying his eyes.

"What is wrong with you? Why would you do such a thing to my well-defined and cute face?"

"Um... Firstly puke." He says and pretends to gag referring to my self praise. "And Secondly I did no such thing."

I stare at him intently not saying anything. I do this most of the time when I want to know if he is lying or not. His facial expression shows me if he is telling me the truth or not. Nothing ever passes me by regarding him that I don't figure out. After doing that for a while, I realise he's not lying. I leave his room and I immediately realise who it must have been.

I barge in his room without even knocking and I see him already fully awake reading a book. He's shirtless but I try not to take note of any trivial things right now.

"Took you long enough to realise who did that to you." He says without looking up and without me even starting to rain cuss words on his future generation yet. "You know until now I didn't believe 'empty-headedness' was actually a real thing until I met you. You just so turn out to be a living proof of that attribute."

Dude what's with the big words?

His statement makes me fume so much that it would be possible to see two fireballs escaping my individual ears.

"Why would you do this?" I ask in disbelief.

He shrugs. "You know I'm not the trouble-making type but you pushed me to do this to you. You should have given your angelic conscience a chance to talk some sense into you.

How does he know about that? I shrug off that thought and a creepy smirk appears on my face.

"Oh..." I say slowly and dangerously. "You started this war... And I'm going to finish it. Trust me."

He doesn't seem fazed by my threat and just stares at me blankly. Well too bad for him. Because he is going to have the time of his life by the rest of my stay here.

"If you're done barking without biting could you please leave my room? I need to get ready. And by the way, your face looks haunting."

I didn't even realize that there's still school today.

I stomp out of his room in anger and go to my room to get ready.
