Yvonne's POV
"Um. Crys?"
"Hmm?"
"Why do you so ever lay upon me with such elegance or lack thereof?"
"I'm not." She mumbles, her mouth puckered because of the annoyingly awkward position she's sleeping. Her hand is face flat on Gemma's face, whose hair is everywhere, Gemma's leg is somehow tangled with mine as we have been spending hours trying to untangle them, and last and definitely not the least, Crystal is completely on top of me, crushing my bones with her slim body.
"Yeah, you are." I argue.
"Shhhhh." Gemma interrupts, putting her finger vertically over her mouth in an attempt to shush us. "Sleeeep." She finally entices with a creepy smile on her face, eyes still closed.
In case any random handsome or beautiful person from another world that may believe to have been reading about my life, or not, is puzzled by what has occurred, I shall volunteer to explain. It's a sleepover. Yeah, so, a few days after the whole colour shenanigans, Gemma and Crystal got introduced to each other via Yours Truly, and may I just say their friendship has blossomed like that of graceful lava blossoming from the beautiful red hot insides of an active volcano, like that of soft fruit from inside an uncovered blender, like a foetus-
I'm just gonna, you know, stop there. Anyways, what I mean is they have been quite the bunch. Gemma is a slightly erratic girl, Crystal is beyond crazy; them both will obviously be both thrilling and annoying for me, in a good way, at least. So now as I try to pry off Crystal's stomach from my face, I begin to think of how fortunate I am to be Dallas' friend. Friend. Something about that gives me a gall taste in my mouth and I suddenly begin to open and close it, tasting my tongue in the process- if that's even possible.
"Ugh." I groan. "It's morning, you mammalian creatures." I unmercifully throw Crystal body away from mine, resulting in her butt landing on the bare marble floor. I chuckle when I hear a whimper, then complaints, then outright babyish crying. That surely woke her up.
Next stop, Gemma. I think about it and then try to get up and walk all the way to the bathroom, a smirk on my face as I drag Gemma with me, since her leg is entangled with mine. She doesn't even budge, still snoring, completely oblivious to her being slid on the bare floor until her head knocks, painfully, the barrier between my room and bathroom. She exclaims, then whimpers, then whines, then complains and then starts crying.
"What is it?" The both of them simultaneously ask. That was... creepy.
"It's morning." I triumphantly announce.
"Uhhh, Yvonne, you don't usually wake up that early." Crystal points at the clock hanging on the wall atop my bed. The long hand of the clock is five minutes away from six.
"Of course I do." I mutter. "Besides, it's a school day. We wouldn't want to be late for class would we?" I smile, nervously.
Gemma raises an eyebrow. "There's no school today." She says, getting up while massaging her head and then plops on my rotating armchair.
I frown, confusion evident on my face. "But today's Thursday."
"Didn't you hear of the bug infestation at the two schools?" Crys asks.
