Chapter 13:

Taylor's POV

In two days I was off to Berlin. I needed to put on a show here and then I was going to take one last break before my tour in Asia. Once that was over then I would finishing my next album. I had a busy schedule for the moment but I was sure that it would get better as time had gone on. There was only one problem. I had to make time for both Cory and Harry. I felt like such a bad person for leading them both on, but it wasn't like I was committed to either of them. Cory and I had barely even kissed anyway. But it was hard to be around Harry due to our past even though I couldn't stay. So for now I would continue to see them.

"Well I suggest you make a decision soon, both of them work together," Ellie says as she sits on my bed as I apply make up at my vanity.

Ellie Goulding was one of my best celebrity friends. I mean Cher was my number one but she just didn't get being famous sometimes. Besides I thought she could use a break from my constant stir when it came to Harry.

"I know. I just need a few more days to figure it out," i sigh.

The last date that I had gone on with Cory was quite nice. He took me to the beach. My security made sure that we were not spotted by the paps. It worked really well because I hadn't been in the paper for the last week.

"I'm sorry if that sounds bad, but I just want to make sure you don't hurt any feelings," She says and then gives me a weak smile.

"By feelings you mean Cory," I retort.

"Pretty much. I know you're going to pick Harry," She fires back.

"But that's the thing. If I was just going to pick Harry then I would have already done it," I reply.

"I see..What does Cory have that Harry doesn't?" She asks and I could tell it was only out of curiosity.

"A fresh start for one. Two, he doesn't give me anxiety the way Harry does," I tell her.

"How have your nightmares been?' She questions.

"Better since the night at Harry's place, but they're still there," I say as i run the eyeliner along my waterline.

*Flashback*

I had woken up from one of the worst dreams yet. I was alone, so I did what I normally did. I went into the living area and turned on one of the mixed tapes Harry had given me. I hated to admit it but it was one of the only things that put me at peace when I was in one of my moods. Slowly I begin to recap the dream from only moments ago, it was still vivid in my mind:

I walked out of my bathroom. The moon was shining through the window. but this wasn't my apartment. It was my old house, the one I lived in until my mom moved. I walk out and I reach up to feel my golden locks. I was sixteen again. It seemed as if it was months before Jake and I had broken up. Months before I had met Harry. I walked down the stairs and see a light coming from the middle of the room.

"Taylor," Harry says straight into my ear. I turn around to face him but now he had vanished.

I walk over to the light and see what it truly is. It's a fire. Not just any fire but the fire that I used to burn all of Jake's letters. Harry, Jake, and Cory were all sitting around my old fire place.

"Do you remember?" Jake asks.

"Do you remember?" Harry repeats it after I don't respond.

"Can you tell me?" Cory asks.

I then feel my whole body go numb and I black out.

That was when I woke up in cold sweat and shivering. My nightmare might predict my very future. Was I ready to explain all of the things I had been through to Cory? Was it even something that I needed to address? What was to come next for he and I? Or would I need the old comfort of Harry, someone who could handle all of me and my baggage.

*End Flashback*

"Taylor I know you will make the right decision," That is how she ends that conversation.

Both her and I were headed over to Niall and Michelle's. They wanted me to come over since I wasn't able to come for their big party. They said that they had some news for me and it was important to come over before I left for Berlin.

______________________________________________

"You're engaged?' I gush as we sit down to dinner.

"I know! I thought it would never happen,' Michelle teases and Niall shoots her a look.

"What's with your paper plates?" Ellie asks as Michelle serves us a fancy pesto onto the paper plates.

"Our party sort of got out of hand. Thanks to my fiance,' Michelle blames Niall.

"Hey! Kelly is the one who invited that psycho," Niall defends.

"Who?" I ask.

"well I think we better tell you, it was Heather," Michelle answers.

"Yeah Kelly was stupid enough to invite her," Niall says with an eyeroll.

"why was she throwing plates?" I ask cautiously. The internal panic was eating my insides.

"Well she and Harry got into a fight. He wants nothing to do with her and she isn't having it," I feel relieved when Niall speaks.

"Yeah and she came parading in here and starting attacking him with all of my dishes. It was a disaster," Michelle rants.

We then go back to beginning to eat and I change the subject back to their engagement. Maybe Harry and Heather really were done.

*Harry's POV*

"Yeah let's just say that Heather is one that keeps appearing in my life. I can't seem to get rid of her," I rant to Cory.

"So she was throwing dishes at you?" He asks.

"Yeah. It was an epic party you should have been there," I say with a small smile.

"I would have gone but I was on a date" He mentions.

"The same one you've been seeing?" I ask.

"Yeah she's great and she's pretty," he cooes.

"That's great. Still trying to get my ex to take me back," I retort.

"She'll come around. Don't worry. You're a good man Harry,' He compliments.

"Thanks," I reply and take a drink from my beer.

"I know she will. It seems based on your past that she will come back. You have been apart long enough and true love always finds its way back," He tells me.

"I dunno. Maybe fate doesn't have it in the cards," I doubt.

"That's what I said about Irene. But then I met this amazing girl. I thought I could never feel joy with out her again but here I am," He tries to give me hope.

"Well I hope so," I say after clearing my throat.

"I have seen a lot in war Harry and it wasn't pretty. It messed up life and it was the reason I lost Irene. I mean it when I say that you will find happiness,' He rants.

I hope Cory is right. I had decided to call him up because he might know what to do. We should hang out more often.

"Maybe we can double date sometime," He teases.

"Maybe," I reply with a weak smile.

This is more of a filler chapter, sorry! I hope you enjoyed the chapter and thanks so much for reading. Votes and comments. Also who do you guys think should play Irene because there are going to be some flashbacks soon.
