We reached the beach two hours before midnight and let Seth and Percy off our backs so we could shift back to human.
“Okay. I see you two forgot your swimsuits.” Siobhan said.
“I got it. You get your swimsuit on and your cover.” I told her.
She nodded and shimmered her clothes into a gold two piece bathing suit and a sky blue, ankle length, long sleeved dress that looked like wings with the wind and fit perfectly to her curves without the wind. I created Seth and Percy each a pair of swim trunks and cover shirts and jackets. Siobhan and I turned so they could switch their clothes for the items I created for them. When they were done I turned and examined them. They wore similar outfits. Percy wore a pair of dark blue swim trunks and a light blue t-shirt with a navy blue light weight hooded jacket with the zipper, zipped halfway. Seth wore the same swimsuit, shirt, and jacket, although his were green and his jacket was a forest green. I shimmered into a black two piece and a light green dress like Siobhan's. I noticed that we matched our guys with our cover dresses. Siobhan looked at me questioningly.
“The outfits were completely random,” I told her and turned to Seth. “Let's go.” I told him and took his hand.
We walked slowly down the beach hand in hand and talked about the small things in life. Some where in the middle of a conversation he asked about my life. This made me happy that he wanted to know about my life.
“I was born into a family of six. My mother, father, and three siblings. My mother's name is Maria, my father's is Var, and my three siblings are Meredith, Kira and Kari. I have two sisters. Kira and Kari are twins and they are the youngest. Kari is my only brother.”
“Which are you?” Seth asked.
“I'm the oldest.”
We heard a sad sigh and turned to see Siobhan looking up at the moon with tears in her eyes.
“What's wrong?” Percy asked.
“My life was full of pain. I was young and fell in love with a wolf named Carson. He seemed like the perfect guy, but I was wrong. I was barely old enough to have a mate. As I said I was very, very young. During our first spring we had our first three cubs. I loved them. I spent as much of my life as I could with them. One day I was teaching them how to scent for prey and Carson wanted to get me to come over and help him with something but I told him I was busy. I hadn't noticed that he had grown jealous of our cubs, and with the jealousy, came greed. He wanted me for himself and one night I was gathering up the cubs for bed and he came out of nowhere. His eyes full of determination and greed He lunged and grabbed my eldest cub, Luna, and he killed her. I circled my cubs as he circled me. He lunged at me knocked me out of the way and killed my only other girl, Shayela. She was the middle child. When he killed her he turned for my little boy, Max. I couldn't stand to see the last piece of my paradise die so I tackled Carson and he hit a rock. It knocked him out so I dug a quick hole and gently placed my girls in it and covered them up, after a quick blessing I grabbed Max and ran as fast as I could. He was scared and shaking. I found an old family of foxes and they helped me. They knew my Mother when I was a cub and cared for me and my son. I lived with them for a few days and Carson tracked me to them. He pushed the adults and their two kits aside, killing them, and grabbed my son and pulled him out into the open. I went after him and took him down, but not before he broke Max's neck. I howled for hours and when I couldn't take it anymore I left. I became an outsider and a year later I met Mercy. Our lives have never been the same since we met. It was also the first time I ever trusted another wolf since Carson.” She told us.
Percy pulled her into his arms and she cried into his chest. Seth put his arm around my waist and held me tight.
“I never knew she had it that bad. All she said was that her mate killed her cubs. She's my age now and we are old enough now to make a family but she was barely an adult when that happened.” I said with my hand over my mouth.
