When I woke up the next morning I woke the rest of the pack and we swam to the beach in our Ancient forms. As we were swimming Siobhan stayed in the back and explained the Shape-Shifter life to Luna and Shayela. I kept a close eye on Seth who was looking a little weak from last night. I swam up beside him and nudged him with my head and, when he looked over, I licked his cheek.

“You okay?” I asked.

He nodded.

When we hit the shore, we shifted into our human forms for a moment. I walked over to Seth who had sat down on the sand and knelt in front of him. I touched his arm and stayed there until he looked up at me with innocent eyes.

“What happened last night?” I asked him.

“The shark was hunting and saw Freedom and Aiden, and so when I sensed something wrong I woke up and the shark almost had them so I shifted and attacked. I didn't know what I was doing. I'm so sorry I scared you so much. I...I...”

“You did what was right, wolf rule number one is always protect your young, even if you die in the process. But I won't let that happen to you or any of the others. Trust your instincts Seth, they never lead a Shifter astray.”

“I'm just glad they're okay.”

“Me too.” I said softly and hugged him.

We all needed to get back to our lives so Siobhan, Percy, Seth, Freedom, Aiden and I decided to head back to the high school. Siobhan and I wanted to fly but then I realized the others hadn't experienced the joys of the air and were nervous. The rest of my family had already left with Luna and Shayela.

“Don't worry about it. Flying is amazing! It was how we found you two.” I told Seth and Percy.

Putting hidden slits in our shirts Siobhan and I grew our wings and let them out and shook them, ruffling the feathers. I knew that Seth would look a lot like an angel because of his fur color.

“Go on, grow your wings and let them out.” Siobhan told them.

The twins were first. Their wings were black with white swirls at the base and as the swirls extended across the top they faded and white specks seemed to rain down from under the swirls. Percy was next. His wings were a shiny gray, he was amazed at them and ruffled the feathers. The feel of them made his eyes grow wider. Seth looked nervous so I grew them on his back for him and kept them folded in where he couldn't feel them. I held out my hand.

“Come on, let me show you.” I said and he took my hand.

I pulled him to me and spun him around, wrapping my arms around his stomach. I flapped my wings and took off, the others not far behind. After a while he began to laugh.

“You want to try?” I asked him.

“Sure!” He called back.

“Okay, when I let go I want you to unfold your wings quickly when I tell you to, I don't want you to hit me.”

He nodded and I dropped him. When I was sure he was clear I gave the signal.

“Now!” I yelled and he snapped his wings open. I swerved to the side as the air caught under his wings and he soared up beside me.

“This is amazing!” He called to me.

“I told you!” I called back.

Soon we were doing flips and loops, climbing higher, and many tricks. Seth and I ended up circling each other in a wide circle and the twins came up through the middle together and did a wide arch backwards as if they pushed off each other and flew into a long flip. It was fun. We flew over to the high school and Siobhan and I made all of us able to go through solid objects as we saw the school. We folded our wings slightly and shot through the window and into mine and Seth's dorm, rolling as we hit the floor to absorb the impact. We tucked in our wings as we stood up. I noticed Amy and Hanna were still sleeping so we stayed quiet. They stayed at the high school because they were from Orlando, Florida and had no apartment. We silently sat down and rested after getting rid of our wings. While the twins played with their little devices I silently discussed the future war through thought with Seth, Siobhan, and Percy.
