*Part Three: The War (Mercy's Story)*
My siblings and parents went to talk to Seth and inspect him.
“Seth this is Meredith and the twins Kira and Kari. My three siblings.” I said and they introduced themselves.
“Hi, I'm Kira and this is my twin Kari. He wants to be like our father since he's the only boy.” Kira said.
“And I'm Meredith, but you can call me Merry.”
“Nice to meet you. I'm Seth and this is Percy and Siobhan.”
“All right all of you get to sleep in the cave I have some matters to discuss with them. It's about the war.” I said.
They groaned in protest but went to bed with our parents.
“Now, Seth, Percy, you don't know how to fight and I don't want to hurt you so just do what I tell you and stay out of the fight.”
“We know how to fight.” Percy stated.
“No you don't, you only know how to fight as a human. Wolves fight ruthlessly. They fight without mercy.”
“Then teach us.” Seth said.
“I'll teach you but you will stay out of the fight unless I say otherwise. Got it?”
They nodded with a small wince at the weight of the Alpha's voice.
“Good. Now, always go for the throat. That's the quickest kill. If you can't get to the throat pin them to the ground and if they swear to Mora and Fren that they surrender then let them up and if they break that promise Mora is sworn to give Fren that wolf's soul and he reaches down and plucks that helpless soul from its body. All you notice is a screech of a yelp and their body drop dead. Otherwise just follow your protective instincts.”
“Okay.”
“Good now lets figure out a game plan. How do we fight? There are many choices. The strongest is the ancient wolf. That is the first thing you shifted into.”
“I think we should just shift according to our needs.” Siobhan suggested.
“That's a great idea. I have another but I need a minute to figure out something.” I said as I closed my eyes.
I wished to know where the war would take place and saw that it would take place in Barren Valley. They most deserted place in the mountains.
“Okay I got it, the war is going to take place in Barren Valley. With us, the Codeca Pack can't win. I swear that Vitani will fall.”
“Good.” Siobhan approved.
“You are no longer simple Shape-Shifter's, my children.” I heard in my head.
“Did you guys hear that?” I asked.
“Yeah, I heard it.” Siobhan said.
“Us too.” Seth and Percy said.
Suddenly there was two wolves in front of us. They were wolves but they had the stance and posture of a human. I instantly knew them. The body of the female was a faded gray but was made of what looked like pure moonlight and her eyes reflected the color of the full moon. The body of the male was a reddish brown and was made of what looked like dim sunlight and his eyes reflected the color of the sun.
“By the God's.” Siobhan whispered in shock.
“Who are they?” Percy and Seth asked.
“Mora and Fren.” I said in shock.
“Hello my child.” She spoke, her voice echoing every possible female voice in a faint whisper behind her true voice.
I bowed and the others followed.
“Rise children for you have a great title.” Fren said in a voice like Mora's but his echoed the voices of men.
“What title have we been so lucky as to acquire personally from the God's themselves?” Siobhan asked.
“You are the first immortal's to walk the Earth since old ages. Your souls are now those of the elder's past. We have come to bestow upon you and any future offspring that shall take it upon themselves in case you shall fall the title of The Ancients. If you accept the title you will be the first people we shall send the creatures with the most important question's and you shall see the future when you wish it. And if you do fall then our gates are open to you and you shall live in paradise amongst our great kingdom and be greeted with open arms. You also will be able to come and go as you please even as you live. You will become our pure children and be God's like us. Do you accept?” Mora asked.
“How can we refuse a gift from the God's? I accept.” I said.
“As do I.” Siobhan said.
“And I.” Seth said.
“And, I.” Percy concluded.
“Good, now be good my Ancients. Live long and well. We shall see you soon.” Fren said.
They faded into oblivion and we felt something change in us. I felt a stronger connection to the old wolf form. It was then that I realized that the first Ancients were the old wolves. I was proud to be protected by the God's. I noticed the sun was almost high enough for dawn.
“Let's go.” I said and we sped off to the valley.
We sat and waited as the war began.
