Shape-Shifter's Promise

Chapter 11

Siobhan and I woke up early and shifted back to human. I left a note for Seth that read:

Seth,

Go outside at noon and listen. We will walk out of the woods and you will see two wolves walk out of the woods. You and Percy will need to lead us inside to your Mother. We will take it from there. You will also need these tags. Once your Mother lets you keep me get her to take you to the pet store in town that allows pets. Get us collars. We will help you get the right ones. Love you!

Mercy and Siobhan

I created two pet tags for us and folded them in the note. I left it on the windowsill and turned to Siobhan. We went into the edge of the woods and shifted into our Hisslicai forms and moved the statues we made into the woods. Afterward we shifted back to human and sat on the backs of our life sized statues. We sat and talked about random things for hours. Finally the sun told us it was noon and we heard the door to the house open and we jumped off the statues and went to the edge of the woods to make sure it was Seth and Percy. It was them so we shifted into our natural selves.. Seth and Percy came over and scratched our ears. Seth scratched me behind my ear and kept a hand on my head as he lead me to his mother.

“Mom?” He called.

“What is it dear?” She called from the kitchen.

He walked around the corner and into the kitchen.

“Look what we found wandering around our yard.” he said. We looked around with wide eyes. We looked over at Ms. Charsha and grinned.

“Can we keep them?” Seth asked.

“I don't know...” She replied.

“Please mom. Percy can keep on and I will keep one.”

“Well honey they're wolves, they are wild animals. I don't know...Okay, you can keep one.” she said when we licked her hand.

“I want the blonde one.” Percy stated hugging Siobhan. She licked his cheek while he laughed.

“I'm going to name you after my girlfriend. Your name is Mercy.” Seth said.

“And I'm going to name you Siobhan.” Percy said.

“Mom, can we take them to the pet store in town?” Seth asked.

“Which one?” She asked confused.

“The one that allows pets.”

“Sure, lets go.” she said.

Seth and Percy got in the back of the van and his mother drove off. We sat with our heads in their laps the whole way there. When we arrived at the pet store we jumped out easily. When we went in a nice woman greeted us.

“Well hello there, who are you?” She asked.

“I'm Ms. Charsha Carter and this is my son Seth and his friend Percy Smith. We found these two wolves this morning and would like to have them groomed.” Seth's Mother said.

“Oh? Well are you sure you want to keep them they're wild?” The woman asked.

“Oh no they're perfectly tame, watch. Mercy, sit.” Seth said and I sat down obediently.

“This is Mercy.” Seth said to the woman and showed me to her.

“Well isn't she beautiful!” The woman said and I licked her hand. She examined me for any problems and found nothing. She put me close to her face to examine my eyes and I licked her nose. She giggled and had Seth take me back.
