Laughter escapes my lips as I watch Jack sing in a goofy voice, his eyes shut as he leans back into the couch in a dramatic fashion.

"Don't laugh! I have to try out for American Idol. I can't leave my talent unnoticed," he defends, peeking an eye open at me.

"Right, you're truely a big bundle of talent Jack," I say while grinning. I get off the soft couch to go to the kitchen to get a soda, & hear footsteps behind me.

"Make that two?" Jack asks as I pull a pepsi out, tossing it to him. "Cheers!" He says clinking his can to the one I'm now holding.

"To what?"

"Cheers to us drinking a couple of pepsi's on a friday night, instead of going out & having lives."

"We're a couple of cool kids alright," I laugh, rolling my eyes.

"Me a kid?" He questions, stepping closer to me. "I'm far from that. Want me to prove it?" His voice asks huskily, making me gulp nervously.

"Uh," I say like the loser I am. "Uh no, I'm good."

"Yeah, I bet you are good." He winks, making my heart flutter before he walks back out to the living room. A shaky breath escapes my lips as I start to relax again.

"Hey I gotta jet," I hear him call out from the living room.

"Alright, see ya," I say as I step out, giving him a small wave before he walks out of the door.

I stand there staring at the door, daydreaming. He would come in & softly lay his hand on my cheek, stroking it.

"I have something I gotta say, Emma."

"Say it." His brown eyes would look at me with a desire burning through.

"Actions," he says then clashes his lips against mine. He pulls back & says, "Speak louder than..." He contines to kiss me, even harder than before. "Words."

I shake my head, waking myself from this daydream. It would never happen, no matter how much I want it to.

"How was Jack?" My mom asks as she walks down the stairs, her small heels clacking against the hard wood floor.

"Good, he just left."

"I heard. Anyways, can you wash the dishes for me while I go to the store? We're out of toilet paper, & I dont know where your father is." I nod as I watch her grab her black purse from a hook on the wall, waving as she leaves through the door Jack just walked through moments before.

Before I start the dishes I pull out my cell phone from my jeans pocket & text my bestie, Catherine, asking if she wanted to go to the mall tomorrow. After she confirms the plans I go ahead & wash the dishes, careful to not get water on my outfit.

After I wash the dishes, I go upstairs to get ready for bed. Who know what tomorrow will bring?
