*Sorry the chapters aren't very long...it'll get better I promise :)*

"Hey Emma!" This girl named Jane greets me the next morning at school. She's a mutual friend of both Jack & I, being one of the nicest girls at school & all.

"Hey Jane," I say, smiling. We talk for a bit, but of nothing real spectecular. You should know her name though, because a lot of people believe Jack likes her, much to my jealous dismay. After Jane & I stop talking, she walks down the hall to her locker as I go to my 1st class of the day.

I find myself doodling hearts on my notes in history. There's a lot on my mind, but there's only 1 person about as I'm sure you can tell who. Letting out a sigh, I try to keep myself from daydreaming so I can at least attempt paying attention to the teacher. Too bad that this subject is about as interesting as the ceiling. Actually, I think that's better...

"Ms. Walker, mind sharing your artwork with the rest of us?" The teacher, Mrs. Jameson asks me in obvious anger. I feel my face turn red as I feel students's eye bore into me, probably smirking that I've gotten myself into trouble.

"Uh.." I studder as she grabs my paper & reveals it to the class. Thank God I didn't doodle initials in there, that would have been really humiliating.

"Emma, my notes are not for doodling. I don't want to have to talk to you again about this, do you understand?" Her narrowed dark eyes start to return to normal size again as she sets my paper back down on the desk in front of me.

"Yes ma'am," I answer dryly. I hear snickers from around the room, making me want to turn to glare at everyone. It's not like they havn't ever doodled before! Of course when I do it I get caught. I peek over to see Jack grinning at me, looking amused. I shrug my shoulders at him, acting like it's no big deal, although I'm sure my red cheeks say otherwise. When the bell rings, I stuff my books into my bag & make my way out the door, not getting far before Jack catches me.

"So who'd you draw hearts for?" Jack asks in a teasing tone of voice when we get to the hall.

"Nooboodyy.." I reply, stretching the word out a little more than needed to add effect.

"Bitch please, you can't lie to save your life." I laugh at his use of vocabulary, rolling my eyes at him as well.

"You'd be surprized." I answer, trying not to give too much into it before I turn the other way to get to my next class after I say bye.

The rest of the day speeds on by, much to my relief as I really can't stand being stuck at a desk all day. I can only hope that the rest of the week speeds back just as fast so the weekend can finally arrive.
