I feel myself trembl as I walk to the front yard. The moon is shining, being my only light to see. I look around but don't see Jack's silhouette, so I chance it & leave.

Deep down I knew I shouldn't have trusted him again. My heart just wanted to believe so bad.

I pull out my phone. The 1st person I think to call is Luke, but he's surely asleep now. It's about 12 am, the party could still be going on. I call Catherine's number, & it rings a few times before she answers.

"Hello?" I can hear music going on in the background, the party must still be going on.

"Cathy! Listen, can you pick me up?"

"What happened with Jack? Are you alright?"

"Minor difficulties i'll explain later, can you meet me at..." I look around to see nothing but a neighborhood.. "You know where Jack lives?"

"Yeah?"

"There. Thanks bestie," I smile.

"I'll be there in a jiff!" We both hang up. I have been walking away from his house, looks like I gotta go back.

The living room light is on now. I decide to just hide behind this fence til Catherine gets here. I look at my phone to see that it just died. Oh that's all I need.

I got my eyes fixed on his house to see if he'll pop out from anywhere. Wondering what he's up to, I creep over to the window. He's not in the living room.. I start to back away slowly when I trip over something. I let out a small cry. Oh crap! I look around in every direction to see if he'll come. He doesn't. I feel myself let out a sigh of relief & quickly get back to my feet. Slowly & silently walking, I go back to my fence area where I can feel safe. About 12 minutes later, a car pulls up & parks on the street. I run to it.

"Thanks Catherine," I say as I fasten my seatbelt.

"No prob, we can talk about what happened when we get back to the party. I'm still so sorry about the shirt."

"It's all good." We start to drive away, but my eyes look to the mirror to see Jack's car lights turn on.
