I woke up in a dark, dark cave. I could barely make out objects infront of me, like stalagmites and stalagtites on the floor and ceiling all around me.

Moving my hands, I feel cold, tight chains holding me to the wall of the cave. Pulling and tugging, the chains still hold. They make a tinkling noise whenever I move, which ecos around me.

Great.

Sitting back and slumping against the wall, I lean my head back against the cool stone and think. I need to leave this place before a Diru comes and gets me for who knows what. I struggle once more on trying to free myself before giving up.

This won't help.

To my right, I see movement. Alert and ready for a fight I look around, watching for those sunken red eyes. I never see them. Squinting, I look a little ways down the cavern and see a slumped object against the wall. There is a flick of a tail and releif courses through me. It's just a merman! I can see him clearer now, he's chained just like me. The merman looked to be about a year or two older than me with a muscular upper body, very muscular ...

The merman seemed to be waking from a nap.

"H ... Hey", I stammer, my voice a little stressed from not being used for a while.

The merman immediately turns toward my voice and looks alert, I must have looked like him when I saw him moving.

"Oh, hi, I'm Daymon, I see you have finally woken up", he says groggily.

"Do you know why we are here, or where we are?".
