I had about fifteen minutes left, my tail was going crazy.

"Malerie", Daymon says behind me when we are about twenty feet from the surface.

"Yes?", I reply.

"Do you like being a human?", he asks with caution.

"Well, it has it's perks, but nothing compares to this", I open my arms, gesturing to the open water. "This is my home, I was born here. Although, I do wish I could come back more than once a year", I say looking down and frowning.

"I see", Daymon looks down as well.

Small bubbles start to form around my tail, I can feel the pressure intensifying.

"I guess it's time to go", I say looking into Daymons beautiful blue eyes.

All of the sudden, Daymon is being dragged down into the bottom of the ocean. I look down it shock and see two red eyes looking up at me, glaring. Screaming, I swim as fast as possible to him. Two more Diru have grabbed a hold of Daymon once I reach him.

Daymon is fighting one of them, but is still being dragged around towards the bottom of the ocean. I whip my tail at two of the Diru as hard as I possibly can. Luckly it sends them flying. Daymon had fought off the third Diru when he said, "Malorie go! Now!".

The pressure around my tail is starting to hurt a little, like usual. I know I need to go, but I can't just leave Daymon alone with these Diru.

Daymon swims towards me at top speed. "Mal, please, I'll be fine!", he says as if reading my mind. Those eyes of his pleading with me.

Looking at the surface, I start to move up towards it. Wanting one last look at Daymon before I left, who knows when I'll ever see him again, or if I will ever see him again.

Daymon had Diru all around him, over powering him. I swim down to help but I hear a pop and feel my tail change into legs. I'm wearing the swim suit that I had left in, what seems like a life time ago. My lungs start to burn, I can't breathe. Desperately, I swim towards the surface, kicking and pushing the water. It seems like hours before I reach the top. Blasting out of the water I gulp down air and cough out the water. My brain is pounding and a blackness in the corner of my mind threatens to over take me.

My vision becomes splotchy but my hearing is still fine. "Malorie, swim!", a distant voice yells.

Looking around me, I see a fuzzy outline of someone waving with both hands above their head. Looking into the water, two red eyes stare back at me.

Panicking I try to swim, but my body won't respond. Every muscle in my body aches. Knowing I won't get away from this Diru, I let the blackness in the corner of my mind take over my body.

Slipping into the water, I feel peaceful almost.
