"Well, that's a big problem", concern obvious in Daymon's voice.

"I know, if I don't get to the surface in time I will drown", I cried, still struggling to get free.

Daymon sat there in silence for a moment.

"I have a plan", he whispers.

"Hey! Hey!", Daymon yells as loud as he can.

"Shh! What are you doing, the Diru will hear you! Are you crazy?", I exclame.

"All part of the plan", he winks. "Don't make any noise, ok", Daymon smiles and continues shouting.

After a few minutes, I hear a hissing noise and see two sunken, red, glowing eyes. I freeze, I didn't think I'd be afraid of the Diru after my kidnapping. I breathe in a sharp breath and stay as silent as possible.

"I need a break from these chains, they are too tight and are hurting my wrists. Would you please take me to an enclosed space or something to rest my aching, tired, wrists?", he looks at the Diru with childish eyes. I press my lips together to hold back a laugh, Daymon can be a real suck up.

Daymon notices, he winkes at me when the Diru isn't looking.

"No! You'll try to escape, just like last time!", the Diru's raspy voice sounds like chalk scraping on a blackboard every once in a while, making me cringe.

"You're going to kill me anyways! Why not let me have this one last break", Daymon becomes serious.

Kill. I could possibly die. Those words taste bitter in my mouth.

The Diru lingers for a moment, "Fine! Only for a few minutes though. I will very much enjoy watching you die in the most agonizingly painful way", it smiles and shows its sharp jagged teeth.

Everything happens in a blur. I hear the clink of chains as Daymon becomes free. He then swims so fast that if I had blinked, I would have missed it. Daymon grabs a stalagtite and shoves it into the Diru's body.
