"All merpeople know about this creature", Olivia continues. "They know better to go in the deepest parts of the water, your sister didn't care. The creature was going to kill her, but he had bigger plans. The creature gave Lila two options, death or to serve him for life, meaning kill off merpeople for him", Olivia scoots to the edge of her chair.

Daymon squeezes my hand.

"Lila said that the creature was gracious enough to give her three hours to think it over, that's when she came to me for help. We were good friends at the time, so she knew becoming human was the only way out of it. After hearing this news I immediately went to your father and explained the situation and what I was going to do. We were both there as we watched her go to the surface", Olivia explained, shedding a tear.

"That was one of the worst days of my life", she whispered, scrubbing away the tear.

I hadn't noticed but I was crying as well. Whenever I thought about my sister, it made me think she was selfish for walking away on me and my father, but now I know the truth and I can't help but mourn for her.

I brush my tears away.

"When I cast my spell on Lila, I included another spell that I had to test, it is the same power I granted to both of you", Olivia points to me and Daymon.

"To be human and mermaid", Daymon and I look at eachother.

"Yes, she didn't know that I cast it, it was merely a test. I also didn't put the spell into an object like both of yours, so I dont know if it worked or not". I touch my necklace around my neck and close my eyes.

I can't believe this. Lila, my father, and I can be a family again! I look at Daymon and smile a big smile. I had always thought about deciding who I should live with when I was younger, my father or Lila? I never had an answer then.

Now I do. Both.

All this time of feeling like I was alone, would be gone. I had Valerie, but nothing compares to a full, complete family.
