Chase was in all of my classes and as annoying as he is, I actually started to want to be his friend.
God his smirk and the way his eyes lit up every time I came back with a comeback. His hair just looked so perfect, I wanted my hands to run through it.
Mason said that he was using you just to get close to Mathew.
That doesn't mean everyone will do that.
Oh you poor soul!
I'll talk to Mathew about this, he's smart.
I turned to my alarm clock that red 2 in the morning.
"If you ever can't sleep just come to my room and we can talk," that's what Mathew said.
I stood up and wrapped the blanket around my body as I walked towards Mathew's room. I opened the door and saw his body on the left side of the bed all snuggled in.
Maybe he didn't mean it, I mean I don't want him to worry about me.
"Malia, is that you?" Mathew mumbled before his head went up and dropped back to his bed. "It's two in the morning are you okay?" He turned to face me and his blue eyes were boring into mine and I frowned.
"Ya sorry to wake you up," I whispered so that he wouldn't wake up to much.
"Come here," he patted the bed next to him and I laid next to him. This wasn't very uncommon since we normally slept by each other before high school.
"I slept don't worry I just woke up and couldn't go back to sleep," I quickly explained.
"Okay," he yawned as I went under his covers.
"I'm scared," I mumbled as I snuggled into my bed.
"Okay and what exactly are you afraid of?" He mumbled.
"What if every guy I ever like, just used me to get close to you," I frowned.
"Hey," Mathew said and I opened my eyes. Sleep was hitting me like a train and it was surprising me.
"Ya?" I looked at him and I could see is worry. "Please please please don't worry about me okay?"
"I want to be an uncle at one point in my life and I want you to be happy so I will worry like a good brother. The same way you worry about me when I get nervous for a game or with the Shay thing.Anyways back to the boy thing, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Chase is the new favorite on the team so don't worry about it. Besides don't act like you had your doubts with Mason. You might not forgive fast but it doesn't take you that long to decide whether or not they deserve you forgiveness. You didn't straight up forgive Mason because you didn't trust him." Mason smiled when I rolled my eyes at him. "Hell you both knew you were going to break up with him. It only hurt to think that maybe someone you will one day care about will use you."
"You are right, I was going to break up with him. Your right that I'm now scared people will use me. I just hate feeling afraid," I yawned.
"Go to sleep Malia, nobody will ever use you after what we did with Mason," I did a small laugh.
"Poor kid is probably scared for life," I said in a quiet whisper.
"Love you," Mathew yawned.
"Love you too," and with that we both fell asleep.
Beep Beep Beep Be-
Mathew's hand crashed into his alarm clock and I yawned. "Thanks for talking with me this morning," I rubbed my eyes.
