Chapter 20: Great

I woke up to the sound of our doorbell going off like crazy. Than the sound of Mason groaning and Mathew rolling around. I opened my eyes to see I was on the couch with Mason behind me and Mathew was laying on the floor. 

"Oh for the love of all good," I sat up only to feel pain. Damn it Mason and bloody hell Mathew. Mathew knew right before he stuffed pizza in his mouth which made me not hungry. I haven't eaten since lunch yesterday! And Mason wasn't kidding about the struggle to walk, but didn't mention the struggle to even stand up. "Mathew go answer the door," I grabbed the blanket off of Mason and wrapped myself up. 

"Hey," Mason's good lord morning glory was beautiful however I was mad.

"Hi," I glared at him as he say up.

"Not a morning person princess?"

"I am a everything person except for when I wake up sore," I narrowed my eyes at him and he broke out a smile.

"Sorry babe it's part of the price," Mason leaned to kiss my forehead. I backed away and stood up. 

"No," I pouted and crossed my arms over my chest. 

"Oh come on babe, I'm sorry," he stood up and pouted back. 

"Mason," I looked up at him with my eyes.

"Yes Malia?" He put his hands on my shoulder before loud screaming filled the house. Mason and I were downstairs where the front door was one story up.

"Malia! We are coming down there!" I heard Alyssa yell.

"Alyssa?" I cocked my eyebrow at her as she stood still at the doorway.

"Oh," she looked between the two of us. "No matter, ya no matter. You are in huge trouble! You didn't text me back all night!" 

"Oh uh I haven't had my phone since lunch yesterday," which was true. Except for when I checked what time it was.

"Oh uh whatever, I see you are okay. Also hi Mason, we need to get going," Alyssa went to leave the room when Jordan stopped her. 

"Babe she has no idea what your talking about."

"Oh right," Alyssa turned around. "We have a Christmas tradition where we go up to the mountain's and stay up there all vacation. Instead we mosey around all last week! We need to get up there this week so we can at least spend one week together! We also have rules but not very many of them," Alyssa turned and left.

"Get packed we're leaving in thirty minutes," Jordan's words nearly made me fall over. I grabbed the blanket and shoved it to Mason causing him to fall to the couch. I literally ran upstairs, I broke through the soreness. I grabbed my bag and just threw a bunch of clothes in there, grabbed my tooth brush, brush, toothpaste, and hair ties. Then I packed converse and flip flops just in case. 

Once we reached the van Alyssa broke out the rules, Mathew decided to stay home along with Tony. In place Maddi was coming with Aiden. 

We got into the van and began our drive, once Alyssa started the rules I put in my earbuds. I felt a warm had go on my thigh and I turned to see Mason. He wasn't looking at me but was paying attention to Alyssa. I leaned my head on his shoulder and he seemed to loosen up a bit as I drifted asleep.
