Chapter 21 – Decisive Battle
Seiryu landed on the grey ground that had surrounded the collapsing Oblivion realm. He clutched his katana on his right hand. The student knew that he was alone once again and that this wasn’t going to be an easy fight now.
“Damn…” he thought as he stood up and faced the adversary that was in front of him. “And we just got reunited…” he thought as he referred to the person that he had left behind in the world outside.
Verrath let the grey vortex he conjured fade away as he now held on his Swallow Blades.
“Foolish human.” He said to the darkness wielder. “Attachments make you weak. They weaken your darkness and put you in jeopardy in battle.” He said as he followed it up with an evil laugh.
The long haired student said at him as his face now began to look even more serious.
“You’re wrong.” He paused as soon as he said that. “And I was wrong as well…” he added as blood dripped from the wound of his left hand.
“Naïve…” Verrath said to him.
“They were the reason, no…” he stopped as he let out a small smile. For once he had smiled without her but it had hurt him deep inside because he knew that there is a huge chance that he wouldn’t see her again. “She was the reason why I controlled the darkness inside me…” he said to him as he let out darkness around him.
“Another illusion that you humans believe in.” he said back at him. “It all makes you weak and vulnerable. Vulnerability leads to sin and that was the one of the main reasons why I wanted to end you all, to end the cycle of sin and repentance.” He said to him as grey energy charged around him.
The collapsing Oblivion realm produced an abnormal amount of grey energy and the stream of it all now made their way towards the Sentis leader. He was being wrapped with grey energy all over as his grey cloak now had the strange markings around them once more.
His eyes shone a bright blue and his hair color now had become a full grey color. The culmination of grey and silver energies now swirled around him as he raised and pointed his Swallow Blades upward.
“What the hell is happening?” Seiryu asked as he readied himself.
“This realm now begins to be intertwined with my being.” Verrath said as the energies now around him began to gather inside him.
“I thought this realm was already being destroyed. What the hell do you mean?!” the long haired student asked as he gripped his katana tighter.
“It means that once I die, the realm will explode fully. Essentially the Oblivion and I are now one and the same.” He said as a huge light now came from above him. “And that is the influx that will destroy the world around us. Even the outside world.” He said as he had a smirk on his face.
Seiryu then thought now that it would be useless to fight him as his death will bring a collapse in the realm that they were in and not only that, the influx of grey energy will produce an explosion that will affect the world outside of them in a hundred fold and it could possibly destroy the world as well.
“Darn it… how do I stop it?!” the long haired student said as he now saw Verrath light up in grey energy. “How do I stop it?!” he shouted as darkness now raged around him.
“There is no stopping it.” Verrath said as his voice now echoed around the collapsing realm of Oblivion.
Seiryu looked as the bright light now began to consume the leader that was in front of him.
