Chapter 30 – Epilogue (Series Finale)

2 years later, the Treyah Celebration Ball

The night had been a good one as the stars in the sky shone bright. The lights of Treyah Academy lit up in a festive manner as everyone seemed to be in a happy mood. As we zoom in on the outskirts of the Treyah ballroom, we could see students dressed in formal attires were looking to celebrate the event that was happening. The males dressed in their Tuteur Gala uniform while the female students dressed in their own elegant dresses.

The inside of the Treyah ballroom had looked as elegant as ever. There were many students inside as some were dancing on the dance floor while a waltz theme music was playing in the background, others were seated near their respective tables and they ate the food that was prepared for them.

Melfice stood up as he had finished eating. His ruffled the sleeves of his Gala uniform and he also wiped a medal shaped pin near the left chest pocket of his uniform. He grinned as he did this.

“Damn Melfice, I can’t believe that you’re actually one of the top Tuteur graduates of this academy.” One student said to him.

“Well you know, hard work does pay off.” He said as he smiled at him. He then stood up and made his way towards the dance floor, but then someone stood in front of him thus getting in his way.

“Do you always have to be a show off?” she said as her grey long hair lay smoothly on her shoulders. Her black eyes seemingly matched her stone black colored dress. Like Melfice also she had a medal that was attached on her dress as well.

“I knew you’d say that.” The hybrid wielder said as he smiled at her.

“What unit are you in now?” Julia asked him as she tucked her hair behind her ears.

“SOLDIER UNIT: Bravo 1st Captain.” Melfice said as he held his chin up high.

“Figures. I knew you’d end up there since you’re kind of a brute and all.” She replied to him as she turned her back at him.

“Always the frank one eh Julia?” he said to her as he grabbed her arm and tried to pull her towards the dance floor.

“What the hell are you doing?!” she seemingly said with a high tone on her voice.

“C’mon let’s dance!” Melfice shouted as he pulled her and the two of them now headed towards the dance floor.  

The two of them heard that slow dance music had been playing so now Melfice put his hands on Julia’s waist while the latter still hesitated to dance with him but then after a few moments she then put both of her hands on his shoulders. They swayed to the music that had been played as the two of them followed the rhythm of the rest of the students with them.

“So what about you? What unit were you placed in?” Melfice asked her with a smile on his face.

“SPECIAL FORCES UNIT: Delta Division 1 Leader.” She said as she moved in closer to him. Her eyes began to close and this brought a bit of surprise to her dance partner.

The two of them slowly followed the rhythm, but Julia began to be more close to him as she now closed her hands behind his neck.

“Uhh Julia.” Melfice said to her as he held on her waist.

“Shut up.” She replied back at him. “This is the only time I’m like this so you’d better relish it.” She demanded as the two of them continued to dance.

His thoughts drifted back to the blonde haired girl that he loved back then. Melfice knew that he missed Elle so much but still he had to be strong. Everything he was doing now at the point of his life, it was all for her now.
