Chapter 11 – The Radiant Lioness (Second Form)

Fraus threw her radiant white spear at her two enemies. Melfice prepared to dodge it while Yue conjured darkness spirit energy to shield herself from the incoming attack. The radiant spear clashed with Yue’s shield and the azure haired student tried to push the spear aside. It flew after she had exerted force on it with her dark shield and the spear found itself impaled on the ground.

The armor of the Sentis member lit up with light and grey energy as her chakram now spun in one of her gauntlets.

Melfice on the other threw his gunblade towards where Fraus was, and as it was about to make impact with her, the Sentis member just blocked the incoming gunblade and on cue it had split on three different directions. The parts of Melfice’s gunblade found themselves surrounding her now as fires lit up on each blade.

“Firebrand Form 6, Zasshuen Danmaku! (Hybrid Flame Barrage)” he said as fires began to surround the female Sentis member.

Her armor shone despite the fact that she had been surrounded by flames of crimson. Fraus’s face as she fought had not the look of rage in them as she usually would have, but it was the look of calmness and fulfillment instead.

“Yes…that’s it!” her transient voice echoed as she saw Melfice rush towards the first blade.

The firebrand sword user rushed towards the first blade and immediately when he had gotten hold of it, he proceeded to rush towards his adversary with flames propelling and powering his attack.

“Kasai! (Fire)” he said as he attempted a huge slash with the first part of his blade. Fraus defended herself with her chakram and pushed him to the left side and this propelled the fire wielder to get to the next part of his blade with ease. He caught the other blade and fused it with the one he was holding and once more rushed towards where Fraus is.

“Ryu! (Dragon)” he shouted as he attempted another slash at her. It had seemingly connected at first but Fraus again just in a nick of time defended herself with her gauntlet from her radiant armor and with huge power, she pushed Melfice off again and it had sent him near the final part of his gunblade.

The fire wielder had grabbed a hold of his final blade and he once again rushed towards his former comrade.

“Oni! (Demon)” he exclaimed as he executed the final slash of his 3-shot combo attack. The slash sent a huge impact as it had the armored Sentis member reeling backwards. Fraus tried to retain her composure as the flames now continued to rage around her.

Crimson fires were produced after Melfice’s third attack and the two combatants were still in a clash. Fraus held on her chakram while she was attempting to stop the fire wielder’s attack with it. Melfice on the other hand tried to push two of his blades and force the Sentis member to make a mistake.

“You’ve gotten stronger.” Fraus’s transient voice said and it echoed around the two of them.

“Eryaaaaahhh!” Melfice shouted as he was the one who was successful in breaking the clash.

The impact of his final slash sent Fraus flying in the air for a short while. The fire wielder now stood in his post attack stance while the Sentis member still tried to land on her feet and she did. Her armor produced somewhat of a shockwave as she landed firmly and this prompted Melfice and Yue to be on their guard and fight extra careful.

Their former comrade let her spear once more appear on her free hand and Yue saw that the spear that was impaled on the ground earlier had made its way back to Fraus’s hands. Her angel wings sprout and stretched out behind her as light and grey spirit energy began to build up around her.
