Episode 23 - Thwarted Again

Chapter 23 – Thwarted Again

The light was an indicator that Verrath had succeeded in executing his attack that would bring an end to the realm around them, but then he saw that darkness energy flare up as the blast was still ongoing.

“What the?!” he shouted as he continued on his attack even after the first blast had already destroyed a significant portion of the Oblivion realm.

“You ain’t…taking us all!” Seiryu shouted as his katana clashed with the light energy blast that came from the magic seal. Some of the light had cleared up already as his darkness now began to produce around him in an abnormal manner once more. “Yahhhhhh!!!”  he shouted as he tried to overpower the attack.

Verrath conjured floating energy blades behind Seiryu to attack him and they made impact against him but he wouldn’t have none of it. Even though he already had cuts and wounds from the energy blades he still would push forward with his darkness clash against the ongoing powerful magic attack.

“Damn it…” Seiryu said as his eyes flashed a dark red this time. “You can’t end the world…” he said as his darkness got even more powerful. A black circular magic seal however appeared right behind the long haired student this time.

“Impossible!” the leader shouted as he let his magic and grey energy radiated even more. This sped up the destruction around them all inside the realm of Oblivion.

When darkness is challenged by Oblivion, only one can win.

“Bahamut’s...” Seiryu said as he clashed with the huge light energy and he held his blade in front of him to try to destroy it. “Spirit…” he said weakly as the black circular magic seal radiated darkness energy that seemed to feed him with power.

The Oblivion realm’s castle now had been destroyed fully and the only remaining structures that had been in there with them are now the ground below their feet and the huge armor that Verrath had transformed into. There was still a clash between Seiryu and the gigantic grey light energy blast that had emerged from Verrath’s circular magic seal. The long haired student’s own magic seal now began to produce a flare of darkness.

Eternal Flare

“Eternal Flare…” Seiryu said as he put some distance now between him and the gigantic energy blast that he was clashing with. His katana immediately was covered with darkness and soon after that a huge flare of darkness had appeared from the magic seal behind him as well as in front of him.

“You only will speed up the destruction of this place with my death.” Verrath’s transient voice from the armor said as he sounded like he had won already.

“Wrong…” The long haired student said as he had just finished charging up his Eternal Flare attack. “Now I’ll end you!” he shouted at him.

Seiryu had Bahamut’s spirit guiding him as he now blasted the two Darkness Flares that he charged up and when they had collided they merge into one huge Darkness Flare known as the Eternal Flare attack.

The gigantic blast of darkness made its way towards Verrath’s magic seal and the two blasts of grey and darkness produced a clash of energies, each trying to overpower the other.

“It’s futile…” Verrath said but as he said this he saw that his own gigacntic grey blast of energy and Seiryu’s blast were now beginning to collapse in front of him. “What the?!” he shouted in surprise as he tried to hold on with his casting.

“Just die already!” Seiryu shouted as he landed on the ground and watched his Eternal Flare take on the gigantic grey energy blast that came from Verrath’s own circular magic seal.
